Chapter 3: 𝙳𝚒𝚜𝚊𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎

Liz's Thoughts/POV:

It's been a year since our parents passed away, we decided to build a house by using our magic. It turned out that we did a great job. I didn't expect my siblings and I to be able to do that. 

Without our parents, it did get lonely, though we had each other. On the other hand, being sibings..we didn't communicate with each other much. After everything, we all just became distant.

Usually, we're just in our rooms crying or thinking about the things we could have done to save them, while me I moved on that by not thinking about it. The thoughts do appear, I just try to push my thoughts away from them, so that way I wouldn't be so depressed or..express too much emotion.Before my mother died, she promised me to protect my siblings, and I will keep her promise. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure that they're safe, even if it kills me one day.

 After some time has passed, I have been making some progress with myself. I started to teach myself how to build and study medicine. I needed to take time off of what happened, so I decided to make my own tech and improve on my own medicines. 

I've always been interested in books and with my mother teaching me how to read. I would teach myself how to do things. I am one intelligent gal, so it's a good thing I started hitting the books at a younger age. 

Right now, I'm currently working on a little invention for my siblings and I, so that way we can keep in contact if one of us gets lost. I was able to buy out some metal scraps and computer gadgets. To which I fixed and transformed it into my very own communication devices. Chrome reap telectronics- or CRT for short.

Anyways, don't have time to talk! Gotta get back to work see ya!

Gabby's POV:
"Well, that should do the trick," I said organizing my room. "Now, all I have to do is put them over there and those over, "I said before getting cut off. "GABBYYY!" Max shouted while running towards my room. "Yeah?- What do you need, lil bro?". "C-can we go r-riding on the Akeocart please~?" Max asked as he was out of breath.

"Max, you know that Liz had just finished fixing that thing; two weeks ago. Not, happening". I said. He asked, "But why?"."She'll have my head if we break it." I started to picture what she would do if we broke it again... Her anger and fury made me get shivers down my spine.

I looked at Max as he gave me the puppy dog eyes. I let out a sigh and I rub my neck. "Alright, I suppose, we can ask our sister if we can borrow it, but if she says no, then no means no. Got it?" I told my brother as I looked at him with a serious look. He nodded, then ran down to Liz's lab. To which I would follow him in return.

 Once we got there, Liz was working on one of her devices that looked like a watch. I didn't know what exactly she was doing. I just needed to ask her about using the Akeocart. One of Liz's inventions; is a go-kart, but it floats off the ground.

"Hey sis so I was wondering-". "No," Liz said as she cut me off. "W-What? You didn't even let me ask-" I said confused. " You were going to ask if you can use the Akeocart. AFTER I JUST FIXED IT TWO WEEKS AFTER IT WAS MADE!" She emphasized, getting a little irritated as she remembered all those nights she spent fixing it.

 " I- ok. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going which I will admit was my fault-, but please Lizzy I won't break it this time. I'll pay attention, pleaseeee?? We'll do anything?" I begged as I would get on my knees and so would Max, giving her the puppy dog eyes."Anything?" Max and I shook our heads rapidly. Showing her that we were willing to do anything. She sighed. "Okay, but if you break it, you fix it. Do you hear me?" She said very seriously. "Yes, Liz." We said as we ran out of her lab towards the garage.

"What am I going to do without those two," Liz said smiling while letting out a sigh. Continuing with her work.

The Next Day

Nobody's POV:
Today was a peaceful morning until the sound of yelling shook the house. "IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!" Max screamed at the top of his lungs in anger and distress. "NO IT NOT MAX!!" Liz said on the verge of tears. " NONE OF THIS WAS!!" Gabby exclaimed. Max then yelled back. "How would you know!?!? If I didn't say something about my dream then-" "Dream?" Liz and Gabby said as they looked confused at their brother by what he said.

"I had a dream that the house burned down but all of you were in it but me. I didn't know what was going on but I saw someone..or something using magic. Similar to mine and I just watch them start the fire...I tried to stop them, then I woke up." Max said being very guilty. "I didn't feel like this would happen or become true, so I didn't tell anyone about this." He continues. "And I should told someone about this dream b-because then MOM AND DAD WOULD BE HERE STANDING WITH US RIGHT NOW!" Max screamed out, then his eyes would start to swell up with tears. Pushing his sisters away he opened the front door. "JUST GO AWAY-!" Max said running out of the house.

"MAX!?" The sisters screamed out to their brother as he ran. Gabby tried to run after her brother, until Liz grabbed her arm, looking at her with a reassuring look. Gabby let out a sigh as she stopped herself. "Oh, Liz...what are we going to do about him?"Gabby asked her sister as she looked up at her with worry. "I don't know Gabby, but all we can do is let him go, for now," Liz said, looking out the doorway, letting out a sigh as she felt that same worry her sister was feeling.

Max POV:
'Damn, how far have I ran?' I stopped running. 'Where I am and how far am I?' I thought. "It does matter it's my fault, it's all my fault," I said as I started to cry. I hugged my legs and cried. " Aww, what has made you cry, my child?" A voice as spoken.

I lifted my head to see who spoke to me. It was a shadowy figure, that floated up to me. It looked like a human figure, but a small one. "My parents are dead and it's all because of me!" I said as I cried. "Why do you blame yourself, young one?" It asks me. "Because I had a dream or some vision that my house had burned down with my family inside, and my parents are dead because of that STUPID FIRE!" I exclaimed. "Don't you have any other family?" It asks. "Well, yeah. My siblings, but they are still sad about them gone thought.," I said as I slowly started to calm down.

"You know, I can bring them back." It said it floated around me. "But how?" I questioned. "Well child, I can bring anyone back from the dead or well say have the power." It said smiling. "Really?! You can do that!?!?" I said excited.

"Yes, but you have to make a deal with me on something." It said a little bit evilly. "Anything." I pleaded. " You have to give me your magic, I need enough magic to make your parents come back." It said."So, do we have a deal, kid?" As it held out its hand. "Well my sister told me I shouldn't trust strangers, but you are willing to help me, so yes I accept." I shook its hand but something strange happened, black smoke started to appear around me. "Oh kid, did you think I could bring them back?" It said in a dark and malicious tone as it started laughing. "NO, WAIT PLEASE!!" I screamed out, but then it all turned black.

Unknown Person POV:
"What? Did you think that I could bring that kid's parents back? To think he thought-" I began to laugh very mischievous. "No, I just needed him for my plan, which you have to be prepared for," I said as I vanished.
