"Hailey come here" I said and went to the kitchen, she only saw me "hi Jay" Amelia said, I turned to see and Jay was coming down the stairs, her hair was a bit messy "Vanessa" said Jay "hi Halstead" I said, it was with Hailey and I whisper something to her "you don't have to whisper anymore...they're together right" I said laughing "together?" Amelia said "Ame...there is something we have to tell you" Hailey said and took her hand "I'll prepare breakfast" I said, they went to the living room "listen...remember when I was with Thomas we loved each other very much" said Hailey tenderly "Yes" said Amelia "uhmm...," "Ame...I like you mommy a lot, okay...that doesn't mean that she won't be with you, I want to be with you too, I want to take you to school, I want to go to the park with you and Hails...I want to give your mommy kisses" said Jay "you love my mommy...like my daddy loved her" she asked "yes...and I love you too, but..." "love...I know this is weird for you ...and if you don't agree...even if it breaks my heart...then me and Jay..." Hailey said and caressed Jay's cheek "we won't be together" Hailey whispered "we just want you to be happy" Jay said, Amelia hugged them tightly "I love you Jay...and I want mommy to be happy" Amelia said with a smile "I love you too Amelia" Jay said "AWWW" I laughed "oh V you never change" Hailey said laughing , we all had breakfast together and we prepared Amelia, the babysitter arrived and we went to work...

Kim's POV "we arrived at the district and said hello to Trudy" "hi sarge" I said with a smile "hi Burgess Adam" Trudy said "Trudy" he said with a smile we left her a coffee on her desk "you guys are always so cute" she said and he half smiled "you always so friendly" said Adam laughing, we saw Jay arrive with Hailey, they came hand in hand and Jay gave her kisses on the cheek, they looked happy "that's why Jay never came to the bar yesterday" said Adam laughing "hello guys" they said happily "hi...you're back together" I said "uhmm...yeah" Hailey said "wow Halstead, I thought you wouldn't make it" Trudy said "ha ha ha...thanks for the support sarge" Jay said laughing "like I was going to say no...he shows up at my house and brings Amelia cake...besides him cute puppy face" Hailey said and caressed Jay's cheek "yes...who would say no, to that face" I laughed "make fun whatever you want...but this time, I won't mess up" Jay said "you better" Hailey said and took him upstairs "those two...they're just right for each other" Trudy said with a smile "Sergeant, I didn't think it was romantic" said Adam "what can I say... now get out of my desk" she said laughing "yes ma'am" we said laughing and went upstairs with the others..

Jay's POV "and that's why Will lives with me" I said, we were in the break room with Hailey and I was telling her about Will "you're a good brother huh.." she said with a smile "we weren't always close" I said "I understand " she said "and your brothers, do you talk to them" I asked "not much... you know, the last time I saw them was for Amelia's third birthday, that was almost a year ago" she said somewhat sadly, I nodded and smiled "hey... Voight he has to tell us something" said Kevin, we went to the bullpen "okay...the superintendent called me this morning she wants today to just focus on paperwork, evidence reviews, make sure everything is okay...paperwork has to be done by this shift since tomorrow is our day off... so let's get to work" Voight said and returned to his office.

Time after

Hailey's POV "we were on our lunch hour, the others went to buy food, Jay and I went to Bartoli's" "I was thinking.." said Jay "that's scary" I said laughing "uhmmm...you know tomorrow is our day off...it's the first day off I want to spend with you and Amelia...so...what do you say we take a trip" said Jay and bit lip "so you want to spend it with us" I said with raised eyebrows "or do you have plans...if you have plans then no" he said tenderly "now I have them...I love you" I said, he took my hand and kissed it.

The day went by quickly we all finished our paperwork and left it at Voight's office, we got home and Amelia came out to greet us "Mommy has a boyfriend" Amelia said laughing "come here" I said and started tickling her "Jay...tell her to stop " Amelia said laughing, Jay grabbed me by the waist and carried me "like this?" Jay said laughing "yes" Amelia said, I started to kiss Hailey all over her face, while she laughed "hey there are children present" Amelia said laughing "hey Ame... we have a surprise for you" I said "yes" she said happily "tomorrow we're going on a family trip" said Jay "the three of us?" she asked "yes" I said happily "yes..." she said and hugged us, I only saw Jay and smiled...
