nini salazar roberts was more than excited for the upcoming break. the stress of school was getting too much especially being around him.

however, ricky bowen wanted anything but the break. he knew that he would have to be around his group of friends; more so, around her.

both of their logic didn't make sense, obviously, they were bound to see eachother in both of these environments.

nini put her hair up in a high ponytail and wore a trendy outfit for her last day before winter break, gina, her best friend, promised her a ride.

"goodmorning moms" she said as she hopped down the stairs.

no response.

"aaand they're not here." she sighs. she grabbed her favorite cereal, cinnamon toast crunch and put it before the milk ofcourse, shes not phsyco.

after about 10 minutes she gets a call from gina saying shes outside.

"gi!!!!" nini squeals.

"goodmorning bitch!" gina laughs

nini giggles and gets into the car. "last day before break how are you feeling?" the brunette asks.

"free?" gina says with a chuckle. "yeah, schools been kicking our ass." nini replies

"true!" gina exclaims before playing music and driving off to school.

ricky bowen was already in class. i bet you're assuming hes eager to learn but its the opposite. he actually does not enjoy school, or any sort of learning. but he does enjoy having 8 hours of his day being used up without him being home.

rickys home life wasn't ideal, actually it was far from. his parents were constantly arguing, and if they weren't it was most likely because they were at work.

"rickster!" a ginger boy greeted.

"red, what did we say about calling me that?" ricky asks.

"never call ricky rickster, unless ricky says call ricky rickster." big red pouts.

"uhh sure, whatever that means." ricky giggles as he looks back down at his phone.

"agh gi were gonna be late." nini explains as gina slowly pulls into a starbucks drive thru.

"im super sorry neens but if i dont have this cup of coffee i will actually fall asleep.. and i do not wanna drool on our last day." gina chuckles.

"fair point, get me a cold brew then!" nini replies.

they pay for their drinks and continue heading to their iconic red-themed highschool building.

the two bestfriends walk into their first period gaining a disappointed face from their teacher.

"ms. porter, ms. salazar-roberts, you're late." mr. mazzara says.

"im super sorry sir, it won't happen again!" nini smiles. gina just nods as they head to their seats.

"hey guys!!" big red exclaims.

"hey red!" nini smiles, "last day, super excited!" she says again.

see, nina salazar-roberts was a great student, mainly straight a's except for algebra, god she hated algebra. she just hated school, she never wanted to be there no matter the occasion. despite that, nini was extremely social and had multiple friends so you would assume she could tolerate school, absolutely not.
