Chapter 13: The Rumours (Part-02)

The next morning, there was another message.

Ash had explained everything to May last night. She was stunned to hear some facts and equally impressed by his thoughts. After talking for a while, May gradually agreed to take part in the role he offered her.

After finishing his breakfast early in the morning, Ash quickly headed out of his room. Pikachu was still sleeping inside his room.

On his way to the Student Council, Ash scanned the contents of the new message that "The Observer" sent this time.

1. Gary from Class 2S lives for only two things: getting paid or getting laid.

2. Clemont from Class 2A has a little sister complex.

3. Yumi Onodera from Class 1A hooked up with her classmate Ryuji Masamune.

4. Professor Nomura hides a stockpile of dirty magazines inside his locker.

5. May Maple from Class 2S has a secret crush.

"A very good morning to you Gary..." Ash laughed to himself, imagining his friend's reaction on seeing this message first thing in the morning.

"That aside, I think we got ourselves a likely culprit after this message."

He wasn't even close to the council office, but he could already hear a commotion and it was much bigger than before.

The students looked restless as ever. They were shouting and demanding for an answer. Harrison and Drew along with Paul, were trying to control them. Professor Juniper was there too. He scanned the crowd and saw the victims from yesterday and the ones whose name came today. Trip and his gang weren't here however. Slipping past everyone, he entered the council room.

"W-why-?"

Ash sighed. As expected, Gary was weeping on a chair while Professor Oak comforted him.

"Oh you are here Ash," Oak noticed him. The others turned.

"Yeah. Looks like another hectic message was posted today," he said.

"The audacity this time though. They even targeted a teacher," Max aggravated.

"Well considering that it's Professor Nomura of all people, the rumour might be true," Ethan said outloud.

"W-what? Don't talk about a teacher like that!" Sawyer said. "Right, Professor Oak?"

But the Kanto Professor was in deep thought.

"Well, I can't say for sure..."

"No way," Max said in disbelief.

"H-huh?! Oh- I mean of course not! It's definitely a scam!" Oak quickly said with a strong voice, as if trying to reassure himself more than the others. Everyone gave him a suspicious look.

"Not to mention, even May was mentioned," Brendan sighed sadly.

"Wait... where is she?" Ash suddenly asked as he looked at her. The brunette was sitting on her desk, head down, as Leaf was violently shaking her violently every so often. Dawn was smirking and whispering something to her. Ash could see May's ears turning red from underneath.

"They are....teasing her about the rumour of having a secret crush," Chloe explained.

"Come on it has to be true!" Leaf yelled.

"Yeah. Otherwise why would it show up with your name without a reason?" Dawn added. "I mean, the one about Gary is true."

Gary abruptly stood, making the chair fall backwards.
