It was a beautiful name, for a beautiful person I suppose. 'Kai'sa'. Almost exotic, right? Fancy or something like that. Sounds a lot like Kie's name.

"Well met, 'Kai'sa'... I'm (Y/N)."

I saw he visibly nod at me but not really make eye contact. I excused it as her being too focused with her wound.

"I don't...even know from where to start with my questions, I have so many-"

"You should save them for something more important." She cut me off rather quickly. Confused, I sighed. But I didn't give up.

"Can you at least tell me what you are? It's not often an alien with a British accent shows up around here." I jokingly said.

'Kai'sa' was still focused on fixing herself up, she grunted a few times while patching it up and didn't say much in those few silent minutes of her finishing everything. But when the mysterious woman was done, she handed back the kit and thanked me. The suit around the previous wound quickly closed around it. It's like I've seen this in a movie.

"You're confused, I know. Just believe me when I say there is a lot going on here than this 'alien woman' as you see me with your eyes." She finally replied and make eye contact. I quickly looked away and rubbed the back of my neck.

"That really doesn't answer much... And come on, you know I didn't mean that... You're more than a cute space dressed lady. Surely there's more to ya-"

I felt her cold gaze on my face which lead me to stop talking and looked further away with an growing awkwardness on my face. This wasn't going as I thought it would go.

I heard her sigh a few seconds later, and glanced to see her crossing her legs. Appears she plans to stay here for a bit.

"I try to stay out of your sight for the most part. The general population I mean. When someone does spot me it's very hard to explain what's going on with what I do. I guess I owe you one for the kit though so.."

I nodded and fully turned towards her, more confident to look at her this time. I was too intrigued by this to just let it go after all.

"What you saw back there... They weren't aliens per say, and neither am I. They are... Creatures of some sort that dwell deep below the ground in massive caverns. They're called-"

I couldn't. I have no idea what was wrong with me but I was losing it. Barely containing my laugher I had let a single chuckle out and 'Kai'sa' was already done with me. She frowned and grunted before standing up from the log she was sitting on.

Seeing her stand up I immediately stopped chuckling and stood up after her, though something was wrong. Her leg began to hurt and she stumbled back. I supported her back and held her lightly so she wouldn't fall.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have laughed, but you're also not in condition to walk off are you?" Asking that changed her expression again and she nodded with a defeated look. She sat back down and sighed again. I followed her and sat back down again.

"The void. I'm sure you've heard of rumors and legends of it but it really is true. The void dwells below the earth, starving themselves until some unfortunate soul finds them to only never return." She carefully explained to me, and honestly I was in shock.

I've heard of the legends but never believed them. An ancient civilization of creatures living under us the entire time? And we haven't found them? My beliefs in human progress has always lead me to not believe in such things but...after seeing what they were, I fully believe now. Still weird that my whole life has been a lie though...

"And this thing you're wearing is-?"

"It's one of them. It attached itself to me on one of my expeditions down there and has acted like a protective and offensive tool for me. It has proven useful." She finished it off for me. I assumed it served some kind of purpose, women don't walk around in creepy skin tight costumes all the time.. unfortunately.

"Expeditions? Do you just...go down there and-"

"Exterminate them." She cut me off again. It seems to be a trait of hers. I nodded and went along though.

"I see..and the suit let's you...kill them with those.. energy blasts." I swear I've seen movies like this! This is too surreal.

Kai'sa crossed her legs again, this time she looked to the ground, her hair swinging in front of the left side of her face, practically hiding it. Her hairs were very unkept. She really was beautiful even with how dirtied up she was.

"It's a mission of mine... To get rid of them. They corrupted me, this one attached itself to me. They have... They have taken everything, even some of my humanity." Her voice was..serious and it appears she was getting emotional. I scooted a bit closer to her, which the suit responded with a slight of weird growl. It was definitely alive still.

"It will take my whole life to even put a dent in their numbers though, but it's worth it. Those bastards deserve it so, so much." She continued. I listened closely an although I couldn't relate to.. anything really, I knew what deep hatred was. Though what she probably has went through makes any of my struggles insignificant.

"This is a lot, miss. I... I'm sorry you've had to go throu that, it sounds.. truly horrid." I tried to give her any sympathy I could, though it wasn't enough, surely.

"I... Thank you, (Y/N). I appreciate the kind words and... Everything you've done." The mysterious warrior pushed her hair to the side and glanced at me, giving me a small sweet smile, which made me kind of gush on the inside and I returned the gesture.

"Ahem...well, now what? Are you going to...go back to fighting them or..? I-I'm not pushing you away by the way, just asking.."

I had replied after a moment of silence and Kai'sa seemed to like the awkwardness coming from me, as she giggled at my nervousness.

"I can stay a bit longer while my leg wound heals. Shouldn't be more than a night as the suit usually regenerates me rather quickly."

I nodded then glanced back to the almost dead fire. It was probably time to sleep, seeing as my sticks have also ran out.

"I'm gonna hit the sleeping bag though. It was...great chatting with you, Kai'sa."

I made my way to the bag and laid down, looking at her. She smiled and replied that she shared the feeling.

Quickly after, I fell into a deep slumber...
