Chapter 6 - Rainbow After a Storm

You know after a storm comes the rainbow or that's what they say anyway.

Well its been almost a week since that night, and everyone keeps looking at me like I have a drinking problem or some metal problem.

I pulled my running gear out of the wardrobe throwing it on, grabbing my trainers as I run downstairs

'Morning guys' I grabbed a bottle of water out the fridge and a apple from the fruit bowl.

'Someones happy this morning!' Rach ran and gave me a hug

'and when do YOU go running?' she gave me a questioning look, looking me up and down.

'Since today, I need some fresh air, see you losers later!' I waved goodbye while walking outside.

After I'd run for about 5 minutes down the road to the beach, I realized that I'm not made for running, I started walking down the beach, before finding a spot to sit down.

Rachel's P.O.V

'Guys I'm worried about Katie, she's been gone for hours... In fact 5 hours, who goes running for 5 HOURS!' i couldn't sit down, after last week Katie hasn't been her self, I'm worried.

I could tell Harry was as well, he was sat quietly in the corner staring at the door, the others had noticed as well.

'do you think we should call her?' I pulled out my phone finding Katie's number.

'look, give her another hour, she might have just gone shopping or something' Liam said

'put she didn't take any money, you guys don't know her past like I do, the last time she acted like this, it ended badly and I'm not going to let that happen again!" I picked up my phone again and called Katie's phone.

I tired three more time but still no answer.

'She's not picking up!' I grabbed my keys off the side before heading to the door.

'I'm going to find her!'

'Wait! I'm coming' I turned to see Harry grabbing his jacket running to catch up with me.

'Let me drive' Harry said holding his hand out for the keys, without questioning I handed him the keys.

Katie's P.O.V

I must have been sat on the beach for hours, I didn't even care that it was beginning to get dark, or the cool breeze made my skin crawl, I pulled my knees up and wrapped my arms around them.

I watched the water roll over the sand and back out, repeating its actions effortlessly.

Ever since I was little I would always go down to the beach back home, and sit there for hours thinking about my day, thinking about everything.

I always felt like it was a place I felt safe and alone, and I didn't have to worry about what was happening at home or at school, I felt like it was my safe place.

Do you ever feel like running away to a island where Its just you and your thought?

That's what I feel like doing now...

I must have been sat here for hours, I finally turned on my phone it see I had 26 missed calls from all the boys and Rachel, I was in so much trouble.

I rang Rach's number...

'Where the hell are you? We've all tried calling you, why haven't you picked up?' I pulled the phone away from my hear to let her bombard me with 100s of questions.

She finally stopped to let me speak.

'I'm so sorry, I just needed some time to clear my head, I'm at south beach, I'm starting to walk home now'

'myself and Harry are 2 minutes away just go to the car park we'll pick you up. bye' with that she hung up.

Just like she said in 2 minutes I saw Harry's car pull into the car park, with Rach getting out giving me a disapproval look.

'I'm so sorry!' I ran and hugged Rach, she pulled me into a hug

'Don't ever do that again, at least call one of us, you had us all worried sick, especially Harry' she whispered the last part so Harry didn't hear, who was now out of the car leaning by the drivers door.

I let go of Rach and went to give Harry a hug, much to his surprise.

We all got into the car, the car was filled with silence, luckily the drive only took 5 minutes.

We all made our way into the house, where all the others were sat in the living room, as I entered they came me disapproval looks.

'I'm sorry, I lost track of time' I said before they could have a go at me.

'Its ok, we are just glad you are ok!' Liam said giving me a welcoming hug

'Just call next time ok?' He pulled away giving me

I sat on the pouch, looking at the stars, as the shine above.

How can things change to quickly, just at a blink of an eye, and your world is upside down?

For the past year I have pushed the feels and memories away from them few months.

He broke my heart and let me bleed for months, without a second thought.

I felt as if my world as collaped in on me, my friends and family just disappeared.

All hope and love just faded into darkness, I never felt so alone and heart broken.

One day he was the love of life, the next his eyes changed, as if the devil took over.

How can someone you once thought you knew, change to be the person who had nightmares about?

I felt tears run down my cheek, and i pulled my legs to my chest, as my body and sudden become cold.

Coming here was meant to be a fresh start, but the past just seems to follow me around where ever I go!
I was cut from my thoughts when I heard a voice behind me.

'Hey, are you ok?' I turned around to see Harry stood in the door way.

As soon as I turned round he saw the tears running down my face, and was sudden by my side, pulling me into a hug.

As soon as his arm went around me, it was like a gate opening and the tears just wouldn't stop.

'Shh, don't cry, everything will be ok' he kept whispering reassuring words into my ear.

I have never cried this much in front of someone before, I hate people seeing me weak, people have always seen me as the strong independent one, but recently it's like my emotions are coming out and making up for lost time.

'You can talk to me, when ever you want, I hope you know that?'

'Thank you Harry' I look up at his face and give me a weak smile, he looked concerned but smiled back, pulling me closer into his chest.
