||Rosemary POV||

It had been nearly a month since Jack had gone missing, and Rosemary was losing hope and motivation. She had been shutting herself into the house when she wasn't leading a search party with the help of Felix Kranken. He had informed her that when he tried looking for her children at the spring festival, they were nowhere to be found, and he was very worried for them.
She wasn't sure if she could trust him entirely, but she had to. He was all that she had left, besides Sophie, who distanced herself more and more each day. She didn't even eat at the dinner table anymore, instead choosing to take her food up to her room.
Every morning, Rosemary still tried to greet her daughter, and every night, she went to Bon's Burgers to remember Jack and look for any signs of him. It was the same thing on different days, always the same. She would walk through the main rooms, through the employees only hall, into Jack's office, and leave.
Now, however, was different. It was July 19th. As she went to pass through the employees only hall, just as she was walking past the backstage storage door, she heard whistling. Somebody was whistling a familiar tune, it sounded like Jack's favorite song.
"Rosie, I know where he is... Follow me..." A quiet voice called from the backstage area. The door was slightly open. Rosemary was scared, but she was also desperate, and so she walked into the room.
"Hello? Who's there?" She asked, flicking the light switch. The lights didn't work, but she walked deeper into the dark room anyways. She then heard the door click shut behind her, removing any remaining light from the room.
Turning, she could just barely make out a silhouette in the dark. Somebody was standing there, wearing a rabbit mask and holding... what was that... a baseball bat...? Her eyes widened as she began to back away, letting out a shriek.
She screamed once more before she felt fireworks of pain as the bat was swung into the side of her head. Once more, a crushing swat of the bat smashed against her temples, and everything faded to black. The only sensation she could feel was pain.

||Sophie POV||

"You will be beautiful, Rosemary." Sophie whispered to her mother once she had smashed her skull in with the baseball bat. She removed her mask so she could breathe, looking around. Sha was the second largest model, but she wouldn't be able to fit Rosemary without some... alteration.
Sophie left the room and soon returned with a cleaver from the kitchen. After roughly chopping the arms, legs, and head of Rosemary off, she determined that her work was good enough. She wiped all of the sweat and blood off of her hands before she removed Sha's wooly exterior. She made sure to be extremely careful, because it would take hours of work to remove a blood stain from a color like that.
Placing the ragged and bloody parts of Rosemary into Sha's torso, Sophie silently thanked the animatronics for being hollow. They made the perfect hiding spots. Repeating a similar process to what she had done when hiding her father's body, she made sure to do a deeper clean. She couldn't allow anything to be found, even if she believed her actions were justified. Nobody would understand if she tried to explain.
Almost immediately after Sophie had returned Sha to her original state, the animatronic buzzed to life, looking around and moving awkwardly, trying to figure itself out. Sophie grinned and delivered a kick to the machine's chest, causing it to calm down.
"Calm down, Rosemary. You are beautiful now. And you get what you deserve. It's all your fault that Edd and Molly are missing, so it's only right that you disappear too." She whispered, grinning at the animatronic in front of her. It let out a confused and pained creak before shutting down.
Sophie returned to her home, washing blood off of herself. She splashed water onto her face, trying to hide the tears that were now streaming down her face. Her parents were gone now, but that wouldn't bring back her siblings. Nothing would, nothing ever would.
But now she had something to take her mind off of it. She had her new little... hobby. As she went to her bed, mumbling to herself about anything that came to mind, she knew what her actions would entail. Foster parents, switching homes, possibly even moving out of Brighton.
It didn't matter now, though. Only four years until she could move out, she could deal with that. She rubbed her arm and hummed "Mary had a little lamb", soothing herself to sleep. She had to rest well, for tomorrow would be a tiring day.
Sure enough, she was right. Felix came a-knocking at her door the next day, and when he asked where Rosemary was, she said she hadn't seen her since yesterday morning. Felix called the police, and she was taken in for interrogation.
"Hello there. What's your name?" The investigator asked, smiling as he sat down across from Sophie. "My name is Derek, Derek Collins."
"Don't you already know my name?" She asked, her eyes shifting towards him with distrust. She was very tense. She didn't like talking to strangers, let alone an investigator.
"Well, yes, but it's always nice to hear it from the person I'm talking to. You're Sophie, yes?"
     "...Yes, I'm Sophie."
"Good, good. I just want to ask you a few questions." He said, clicking his pen open. Sophie tried to search his eyes for any hint as to what he was thinking.
     "Ask away."
"Alright. First off, when was the last time you saw your mother, Rosemary?"
"Yesterday morning. I told my uncle Felix that."
     "Is he your actual uncle?"
"No, he was my father's friend. They were close, like brothers. He's very worried for him."
"I see. And, while we're on the topic, when was the last time you saw your father?"
"I think it was the 11th of last month. I was staying with him at the restaurant. It was late. He went out back for a smoke break, and when I went out there, he wasn't there. I walked home because I thought he had went home without me."
"Did you have a good relationship with your parents?"
Sophie hesitated. "Yes. Yes, I think so."
"Hm. Well, that's all, thank you. We're going to try and figure out what to do with you, though, as Felix says that he is too busy to take you in."
"Fine. Can I get a cup of water?"
     "Of course."
Derek soon returned with a cup of water, handing it to Sophie before leaving her alone in the room again. She stared down at her reflection in the cup before gulping down the water, shivering slightly at the chill of it.
Soon, Sophie was in the back of a car, staring out the window and holding a bag of her most prized possessions in a backpack, crammed in with her school supplies. She had also made sure to bring her prized baseball bat.
"Are you excited to meet your new foster parents?" The officer driving the car asked.
"I guess." Sophie replied. It sounded like it was because she missed her parents, but in reality, it was just because she was bored. Her new "parents" would probably have stricter rules, and it would be harder for her to continue her little activities. Maybe they would understand long periods of her being missing due to grief, though.
The car halted and Sophie got out, putting her backpack on. She hesitantly stepped up to the front door and knocked. A familiar face opened the door, straight chestnut hair just past the shoulders, heavy-lidded green eyes staring back.
"Sophie? YOU'RE my foster child?" Susan asked, looking at her in surprise.
"Susan! Guess I am." Sophie was familiar with Susan, as she was the head engineer for her father's company. She smiled, but only slightly, hiding the excitement bursting in her chest. Susan would understand her going out late, or her staying at Bon's Burgers for long periods of time. Plus, she would be the perfect prey.
