Delta Chi's house rumbled with music and loud conversations. Liv stood out in the backyard a solo cup clutched close to her chest. It wasn't Paul's old frat house but, she still felt the fear that he'd just pop back up. That he was lurking in the large crowd of costumed drunk college kids. How come all these places looked pretty similar?

"O -M- G." A high-pitched voice made Liv snap out of her head. "Olivia. I haven't seen you since like senior year."

Liv glanced at her and smiled, "Hey Cici." She was dressed in a tight red dress and she had big hair. Her friends were all in costumes as well.

"Uh — Sister Cici now." She laughed and glanced at the four girls she was with. They snickered. "Jumping from Sigma Kappa to Delta Chi? Who knew Paul was a freak, right?"

"Oh I'm not hoping — I,"

"Girl," Cici placed a hand on her shoulder, "You don't have to explain anything. You know you should totally come to our mixer tomorrow." She said. "I think a sorority would really give you a feeling of family especially after not having one for so long." She nodded with a small superficial frown on her lips.

Liv's mouth bobbed and she clenched fist and she nodded, "Thanks I'll think about it." She glanced down at her drink and back up at the sorority sisters. They became distracted by something else. She stretched her neck to the side before slamming the rest of her drink down.

"Woah." Derick moved through the crowd and laughed. "Easy there champ. The night's still young." He stepped up to her with a beer in his hand. She laughed and rolled her eyes. "Those twits being nice to you?" He asked.

"You could say that. I knew Cici back in high school." She glanced up at him and bit the inside of his cheek. He was really handsome. She liked that he seemed so normal but then again Paul seemed normal too before —

"I take it you will like totally not be pledging Omega Beta Zeta?" He asked mocking the way the girls talked.

She laughed, "No I think not."

"Oh man, I'm crushed." He raised his eyebrows and took a swig of his drink. She watched him as he pulled the drink from his lips. "You need another drink don't you?"

"I do." She grinned, "Where's the kitchen?" She asked.

"Come on," He held out his hand and she looked at it before gazing into his eyes, "I'll show you."

They moved through the crowd but Derick never let her hand drop. She'd already, easily have two shots and it may have been a dumb idea but, she wrote it off as having fun.

The kitchen was harshly lit, unlike the rest of the house. There weren't too many people in there. Just a dude smoking and a girl sitting on the counter. "Hey Travis," Derick stepped in and let out a little cough, "Couldn't do that outside man?"

He turned and let out a giggle, "My bad man." He nodded for the girl. "You want some?" He asked Liv before he left.

"Ask me later." She said. Travis nodded his head and walked out the back door with the short girl trailing behind him.

Derick turned to Liv, "All right whatcha want?" He asked he motioned toward the large selection of liquor on the counter.

"Hey, my two favorite people." Liv turned to the door and Mickey stumbled in. He had a beer in his hand. He wore a cape and had his hair even spiker than normal.

"Mick?" Her eyebrows raised. "I thought you were going to the premier." She stepped past Derick. She stood in front of him.

"I thought about what you said and thought maybe it would be shitty to go see something about our real-life friends." He said.
