-Gale-
Her cameraman, Phil, had bailed on her. She should've seen it coming and she couldn't really blame him. She was wildly out of line asking him to put his life on the line like this. She knew that. Gale Weathers, was not a stupid woman. In fact she regarded herself as one of the smartest. But she'd lost herself in her work, she was self obsessed and controlling. Now she was in the mix of another murder mystery. A part of her hated it but another part, the part that had always believed there was no way Sydney's father was the killer, was excited. She desperately wanted to find out who the killer was. Of course she had some suspicions but she couldn't be sure until she had hard evidence.
Phil did leave her with all the footage from the past couple days. And that was why she was dragging the film canisters to the Radio Television and Film building. She would go through every tape because as a self obsessed person herself, she knew that any egotistical killer would be watching. Phil's crowd shots would be a good indicator.
There weren't many times she let herself think of Dwight. When she thought of him, she thought of the kiss they shared. She wondered what kind of person she'd be if he were still alive. There had been a few cruel dreams in the beginning. Dreams that he was still alive and that instead of fame she threw all of that away and lived with him. The truth was she didn't know, even if he was alive, if she would be able to throw fame away.
The building was eerily quiet, too quiet for her liking but that wasn't going to stop her. Her heels clicked against the white tile as she looked for a room with a tv. Gale had never really been a person who needed another person. She prided herself on that but damn the bag she was carrying was heavy and she didn't know a damn thing about cameras. She set the bag down and let out a breath as she pushed her fingers through her hair.
In the distance she heard a click and then the speakers of the P.A system rang slightly. She grimaced at the sound. There was a tap, tap, tap... like someone was tapping a microphone. Gale tensed up, her muscles freezing up.
"I didn't realize you were such a dancer."
Gale looked up at the speakers. She recognized that voice it was Derek. There was loud music in the back ground. She set the bag of tapes down and started walking into each room looking for where the sound was coming from.
"You okay, Liv?" Derek's voice echoed through the hall.
"Yeah sorry," Olivia said. "I just thought I saw someone in Ghostface mask."
"I could go look for them." Derek said. Then there was static, Gale pushed open another door. Still there was no one in sight.
"Sure they knew, or was it just their dumb luck?" Mickey's voice asked. "Wait and they? You think there is multiple?"
"There has to be. How could four murders happen all in one night? And they had time to torment me," Olivia said back to him. "Look I'd rather not think about all of this." She sounded tired. "Can you just not disappear anymore? If some crazed maniac comes at me I'd like to have someone I trust around."
More Static and a click.
"Gale fucking Weathers." Billy spoke this time. Gale moved a little faster. The voices causing her heart to beat fast. "She smells blood and comes running," he said.
"Who?" Derek asked.
"Who? It's Gale Weathers," Stu said. "Star of the Gale Weather Press Conference, based on the book by Gale Weathers, soon to be a major motion picture starring... Gale Weathers." Stu said with a dramatic pause. "Man, I think she got calf implants."
