Uncensored cursing. You sat still glaring out the foggy window, the rain droplets slowly descending down cleaning the fog despite the sun shining ever so brightly, the rays shining straight in your eyes—to your displeasure. You moved around uncomfortably trying to get into a good position, your bag squished in between the middle of you and the other passengers. Your eyebrows twitched, your lips parted letting out a sigh as you tried to think about all the good things that might happen on this trip.
You would of been lying if you said you weren't nervous at all, you were now heading to the city of flowers. Paris is a more famous word to call it—all you had was some extra clothes and a few spare change to keep you on your feet. You sure looked and dressed the part despite not being from there.
You were only here for reasons unknown, but somehow a lot of reading and bribing landed you a ticket on the train—this place was much bigger than your used to, you were sure to get lost. You hissed as you felt your neck had started to ache from the excruciating long ride, resting your head on the window for so long didn't do you any good. You gritted your teeth once you turned your attention to the little children that were running around the train with out a cafe in the world causing a commotion, the embarrassment on the parents face was evident while they tried to keep them calm.
The relief instantly washed over you once it was finally time to leave this insanely awful tight and awkward space, awkward because no one even bothered to open their mouths and at least make some small talk with you. Didn't even look your way, you just wanna forget about that encounter already. But you had no time for distractions! You cracked your neck, got up and placed your bag over your shoulders.
"Ok..first thing I should do is—?" You froze dead in your tracks, your eyes grew wider as more realization started to set in. You were here with one goal in mind, but you had no idea where to start, no clue who to ask. Damnit. You bit your lip, you didn't dare move—the other passengers hastily making their way around you with the intent to only make it out the pouring rain. Citizens gave no more than a glance your way, leaving while you stood still in the rain.
Your fingernails swiftly clicked on the table making a silent noise with every contact. You were soaking wet all you wished is that you weren't gonna get a cold the next morning—a great way to start something new. You stared at your now drenched bag, good thing nothing valuable you had was in there anyways. "what absolute idiot would stay out in the rain because they don't know where to go? Hahaha, me."
You laughed at your sorry excuse for a joke, it didn't make you feel any better like you intended. Water droplets from the rain slowly made its way down your face stopping right at your chin, you wasted no time wiping it off with a groan. "Seems like I'm gonna be here for a while" you spoke under your breath as your stared out through the cafe's glass door.
