Chapter 2
I can't show him I'm afraid. He doesn't have any power over me and I'm not going to give him any. I keep walking towards him. I lift my chin in hopes it will give me more confidence and show him I'm not afraid.
"Hey Margot," He says but not with the tone I expected. I don't answer him. I'm still a few yards away.
"I don't know if you remember me. I'm Devlin." He says, still holding my gaze. This is a rather dumb remark, I'm pretty sure everyone in the school knows who he is.
