"Hyojin and Seungjun should be home in an hour," Minkyun announced to the living room after checking his phone.

"Already?" Jaeyoung hummed.

"Yepp. So Changyun, let's finish dinner."

"Alright," Changyun answered and got off the couch he and Jaeyoung had parked themselves onto after rounding up some tasks.

Tailing Minkyun and being alone in the kitchen got Changyun stupidly excited and he felt a little guilty reveling in such happiness. Yet he also couldn't help the feeling.
Their first kiss had been so recent, yet Minkyun grew affectionate quickly, never failing to beam a smile or brush a hand past Changyun's skin.

There wasn't much that still needed to be done for dinner, so Minkyun elongated the time by giving random cooking tips to Changyun, who eventually found himself in front of the stove, staring into bubbling water that played with carrot slices.

Two arms carefully trapped him in a hug. Minkyun's hold was warm and Changyun leaned back against his chest. Having a movable place of safety felt liberating. Anywhere he would go, Minkyun would be beside him to give him strength.
Something bloomed within his stomach and a warm breeze flowed through his limbs when he felt Minkyun's gentle lips place a peck on his temple.

He turned and tried to find Minkyun's eyes, instantly feeling his skin morph into a yellow hue when nerves set in. However, he didn't have much time to focus on that, as Minkyun leaned down and met his lips. Changyun wished to be here forever.

But it couldn't be like that just yet.

Door hinges sang.

Within the blink of an eye, Minkyun jumped back and Changyun looked at who entered the kitchen.

Jaeyoung's eyes switched between him and Minkyun, seemingly needing to process the situation.

"Hey," Changyun greeted and stepped out of Minkyun's space. "Dinner will be done soon—"

"Changyun," Jaeyoung interrupted, something stern in his voice that had the others frozen. "What were you two doing?"

Changyun glanced at Minkyun before speaking hesitantly. "Ah, uhm... We bonded, so..."

Instead of the support Changyun expected, Jaeyoung's expression tensed up further. "You did what?" he almost whispered, strangely enough more scared than angry. "Are you sure that's smart?"

"What? What's wrong?"

"What do you think Seungjun will say about this?"

"I know he won't like it—"

"Not like it? This will definitely begin another fight," Jaeyoung hissed. "Is that really what we need right now?"

"I...didn't think of that."

A sigh left Jaeyoung and he dropped his shoulders. "Look. I'm glad you fell in love, but I'd just advise you both to keep this hidden from Seungjun until we're all in a better headspace. If you tell him this now, it'll just bring more chaos."

The guilt that had already tried to find a place within Changyun, shot to his throat. He knew what he had done was a tad self indulgent, giving into a feeling before thinking wasn't a luxury he should've allowed himself.

Minkyun casted his eyes to the ground and nodded. "You're probably right."

"And...maybe keep it from Yuto too," Jaeyoung advised further, "just to be safe."

"Alright," Changyun agreed.
