Chapter Seventeen

Everyone was looking at Jess in shock. "D-Did you say reincarnated!?" Ichigo says. Jess nodded and looked down at Jenna. "I put the pieces together. Ulquiorra told me that had been trying to prefect something. Those women who passed away were like his test subjects. A way to see if he could even be reincarnated within Jenna. When they all kept dying he must have figured the only way for him to keep Jenna alive was to infuse his life energy with hers. It's why he was able to get in my barrier, it explains why it was clinging to her and so on."

Ichigo frowned. "He wants to become the baby inside Jenna? Why is he trying that with her? What has she ever done to him!" Jess looked at Jenna sadly. "She erased him. No one wishes to be erased. To be taken from the one person they care about. From what Shinji said Ulquiorra has been with Jenna for a very long time. Maybe he had found connection with her and fell for her. Even now, after years later, after Jenna erased him and forgot about him, his love for her is still so strong. Strong enough to make a dying wish. To be with her forever. This was the only way for him to be with her."

Jenna looked at Jess. "So...Ulquiorra is going to die?" Jess nodded. "Yes, but only to be reborn inside you Jenna." Jenna rubbed her stomach. "Ulquiorra..." Ichigo kept his frowned. "That bastard...but I guess now that I'm thinking about it if I was in his shoes I would do anything to be with the one I wanted to be with. No matter the risk."

Jess nodded. "Yes, so for now we can take Ulquiorra off the threat list. What we need to do now is to prevent Jenna from being attacked. Her life is linked to Ulquiorra just like his is linked to her." Rukia and the others sat in silence for a bit. The head commander took a deep breath. "This is all quite vexing to take in but, there is nothing more we can do that concern this situation. Our prime goal now is to contain these hollows and even though I disapprove this we must keep Jenna safe. As long as she's safe Ulquiorra shouldn't make an appearance that should be enough to calm the hollow down." The head captain looked around the room. "That is all. Report back when you have uncovered something else Captain Kukichi bring me Shinji. There is more we have to discuss in private." He slammed his staff down and the TV turned off.

Once everyone left Jess went into the spare room. Ichigo and Jenna went into her room. They were laying down together. Ichigo was rubbing her stomach. "To think that Ulquiorra wants to be reincarnated. That bastard..." Jenna had her head on his chest. "Ichi...I feel like a terrible person." She clings to him. "Jenna? What do you mean?" "I remember everything. I can't believe I told Ulquiorra to kill my parents and when he did I got so scared of him that I erased him. He was the only one by my side through those hard times and I just erased him just like that. How can I not feel so horrible!?" Ichigo held Jenna. "Don't do this to yourself Jenna. Right now you need your rest. Let's get some sleep. In the morning I'll make you some strawberry pancakes with fried eggs." Jenna smiled. "with mustard?" "M-Mustard? Well if you say so. You and your weird cravings."

In Jess's room, she was sitting on her bed reading a book. Her window was open. She was waiting for someone. Sabrina was laying down on a cute fluffy cat bed resting comfortably. Jess sighed. She was trying to find a way to help Ulquiorra with this process of Reincarnation. Something that wouldn't take a toll on Jenna's body. Then there was a small matter of location. The tree she visited earlier shared a history with them. It too was on its last legs. Jess would have offered it life but it seems like it was ready to die just like Ulquiorra.

Jess closed her book and lays back on the bed. "Well it's just nice to know that Jenna isn't going to die. So, I can sleep on a good note." She turned over on her side. She closed her eyes for just a second until she felt someone appearing in the room. She smirked and sat up. "You sure did take you time." She looked to see Byakuya. She motions him over to her. "Don't worry I've made sure Ichigo doesn't sense you here." Byakuya walked over to her and before she could say another word he slammed a kiss on her lips, quickly pushing her down on the bed.
