Second Chances

~Chapter 4~

November 3, 2009...

I had to actually report to the set of True Blood. Uncle Alan had finally convinced me to be on the show. He had created a character that wasn't in the books for me to play. Her name was Adairia.

I reported to hair and make-up first. While I was sitting in the chair having the make-up applied, Uncle Alan came in.

"Here is an updated script for you," he said and handed it to me.

"Updated?"

"Yes. We had to re-write some things."

"Great. How much?"

"Not much. You are going out in style in your two-episode arc that you are doing for me."

"I am?"

"Yes. And, I'm not filming it."

"You're not?"

"No. I'm bringing Scott to direct the two episodes to make you feel more comfortable."

"I see. Now you have me worried," I said and began flipping through the script.

"I will leave you," he said, kissed my forehead and left.

As Sarah was finishing up on me I finally found the main rewrite that caused Alan to bring in Scott. He wrote in the script for Adairia and Eric to do the deed before Pam kills her!

I knew Adairia was going to be killed, but the other thing shocked me. I was trying to figure out what possessed him to write that in. Regardless, I had to do it. I had specifically said no unnecessary exposure when I agreed, but in the scene, Adairia is clothed. Eric, how ever was not!

Leaving make-up, I went into wardrobe to put my outfit on. It was a beautiful, flowy and light dress. Adairia was a rogue fairy. She used her essence to draw in vampires, seduce them and then kill them. Not soon after Clara had me dressed, I was called to come to set.

Walking up to Scott, he looked at me.

"Very pretty," he said and kissed my cheek.

"Thank you."

"Okay, here's what we are going to, Kat. The camera is going to follow you in first to get the reactions of the vampires and humans in Fangtasia. From there, we will do it from in front of you to get you walking in."

"Sure. Where's the mark?"

"Here," he said and pointed down.

I set myself and waited. No one inside had seen me so I was curious to see how they were going to react.

"Actors set... camera rolling... ACTION!"

I walked up to the vampire bouncer at the door and smiled at him.

"Identification?"

"You don't need any," I said smoothly seducing him with my voice.

"Go on in," he said in a daze.

The door opened and I walked in slowly. The extras would slowly turn and look at me, like they were fascinated with me. I walked all the way until I reached Alex and Kristin.

"Cut, excellent. Cameras reset!"

Alex looked at me and smiled; "You look very pretty."

"Thank you."

We just stared at each other, smiling. A PA came up to me.

"Kat?"

"Yes?"
