March 29, 2010...
We had gone back to California to film Not Like The Movies. Today we did the read-through with the entire cast. It took us all day to do it. After the read-through, Uncle Alan called Cillian and I in to talk.
"Now, I know that you know each other. But how well?"
"We've spent time together in the past," I said. "He spent my birthday with me?"
"That's not good enough, Kat. Listen you two, you are doing the office love scene tomorrow. I suggest you spend time together alone tonight."
I looked over at Cillian and he looked at me; "Okay, if that's what you want us to do. You're the boss," Cillian said with a smile on his face.
"Right now, I am the boss," Alan said winking at me. "Spend time together, tonight. That scene has to be scorching because there is no skin involved. It has to come out through your body language and facial expressions."
"Yes sir," I said.
We turned and walked out of his office. Joe was out there waiting on me.
"We've been ordered to spend time together," I said to him.
He chuckled; "Love scene tomorrow?"
"Yes."
Joe looked at Cillian; "Take care of my girl tonight."
"Don't worry. I will. How about we stay on the down low," he asked me.
"Sounds good. What did you have in mind?"
"Do you just want me to come to your house?"
"We can do that. Joe?"
"I will go see my parents tonight," he said, leaned over and kissed me. "What about Deb?"
"I will let her know. She will probably go stay with Rutina. She does that sometimes. EJ is not here."
"Okay. I love you, baby. I'm going to go ahead and go. I will see you tomorrow?"
"Definitely," I said as we kissed again.
He walked off leaving me there with Cillian.
"So, how about we do dinner," I asked him.
"Sounds good. What did you have in mind?"
"I will cook. If you will bring some wine, that would be great."
"Sure. Red or White?"
"Do you eat fish?"
"I do."
"White wine will do. I will go by the market. You remember how to get to my place?"
"No."
I found a piece of paper and wrote my address on it.
"Here. Just give it to the driver. Bring a bag and you can sleep over."
"I will see you in a few hours then," he said, kissed my cheek and walked away.
I went to the market and got some tilapia and fresh vegetables to make for supper. He showed up a little after seven. He brought two bottles of Pinot Grigio for us to share. Dinner was on the table when he got there. We immediately sat down and ate.
"Wow. This is incredible," he said. "I didn't know you could cook."
"It's a little secret not many people know about," I said with a giggle. "I'm glad you like it."
