"You're on your way, right?" Lydia hums into the phone, "I've got this top that I think you'll look really good in!"I chuckle into the phone, "Yeah.. uhh, give it to me at the party? I've got some unexpected plans."
There's a short gap of silence, and Lydia speaks up again, "Are you guys still not talking?"
I sigh. "Nope. And there's not much I can do about it either. Listen.. I've got some stuff to do, uhm- I'll see you at your party, Lyd's." I hum into the phone, and press the big red end call button.
I toss my device onto my bed, rubbing my face. Memories from the rave, and what followed after flashing through my mind. Only bits and pieces, however.
I shake them from my head— reaching into my desk drawer and pulling out a glass bottle. Another bottle of whiskey. This is beginning to be a problem.
I open it, taking a swig from the bottle.
"Y/N!!" Stiles calls from outside my room. I rush to hide the bottle back in the drawer, spinning in my chair to face him as he walks into the room.
"What was that?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Uhm.. personal gift for Lydia," I shrug my shoulders. He seems to believe me, and carries on with whatever he was doing.
"Soo, I can't decide what to give her for her birthday. I had a TV— I was also thinking maybe a bracelet or a purse or-" I quickly cut him off.
"Stiles- she comes from a wealthy family. Or at least, one that's doing very well. Give her something from the heart," I flash a smile.
He slowly nods, "So.. giant teddy bear. Got it! Thanks N/n!" He darts out of the room.
I roll my eyes, slumping back in my seat. When the door shuts, I reach for the drawer again.
...
I laugh, watching Stiles fail to fit the giant wrapped box through Lydia's door.
"Y/n! Come up here with me!" Lydia exclaims, grabbing my hand and dragging me up the stairs.
I stumble forwards, nearly face planting into the hallway floor. A wave of dizziness overtakes my body for a moment.
"Are you okay?" Lydia asks, stopping to help
me back up. I only nod, letting her take the lead again, dragging me towards her room."I was at the mall with my mom the other day," she smiles, shoving a box into my hands, "And I found this. I thought you would look really good in it."
I raise an eyebrow, opening the lid.
(The top)
A grin spreads across my face, "Oh wow.. thank you, Lyds."
I lean over, hugging her.
