Hyunjin looked up at the elder who was gazing back at him with kind eyes. "Y-yes Hyung?" he managed to stammer out, mentally cursing himself for stuttering. Chan hugged him, Hyunjin feeling a blush creep up his face, gently hugging back. "You've been so good recently, your dancing is amazing and your vocals sound great. Don't push yourself too hard, take a break if you need," Chan said, his face close to Hyunjin's ear, making the younger hear more of his pretty voice and sweet tone. Hyunjin knew his face was more than likely red but he just smiled, loving how sweet his hyung was. He nodded against Chan's neck, taking in his scent and warmth. After a moment, Hyunjin breathed out and let go of the hug. Chan smirked softly and squeezed Hyunjin around the ribs, making Hyunjin squeal and groan out "Hyung!! Gentle, you're gonna break me in half!!" He giggled but complied, letting go. Hyunjin breathed a sigh of relief while the older still had his cheeky grin, eyes forming crescent shapes. Hyunjin couldn't help but blush, though it could be blamed on the bone-crushing hug from Chan only 3 minutes ago. Chan gave the younger boy a pat on the head before exiting the practice room. Luckily, none of the members were there to witness what had just happened. Hyunjin decided to stay and practice more even if Chan didn't want him to, but they had just learned new choreography and he wanted to perfect it. He already had the majority of it memorized, yet he still practiced the bits he could clearly remember. The music was loud, blaring throughout the mostly empty practice room. Hyunjin was so focused on his image in the mirror that he didn't notice Chan walk in until he seamlessly joined Hyunjin, dancing almost flawlessly. Hyunjin smiled gently, his attention switching from his own mirrored image to Chan's. Once the song finished, Hyunjin reached for his water bottle and downed a little more than half, he handed it to Chan who waterfalled the rest of it into his mouth. Hyunjin admired his hyung before asking, "So why did you ... join me? I thought you left?" Chan thought about how to respond, but he couldn't exactly tell him that he just wanted to see him, so he came up with an excuse. "I came to do the same thing you were doing but I heard music and kinda knew it was you, so I just joined," he said as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck. Hyunjin didn't question him and nodded. "Well, thanks for that hyung," Hyunjin smiled, "I enjoyed that." Chan took Hyunjin's hands and pulled him into a hug. Hyunjin got embarrassed, smiling cutely. "Hyung, let's go get dinner now," Hyunjin said, looking into Chan's dark eyes. Chan nodded and let go, leading them to his car as they got in and began to drive back to the dorms. Chan's hand rested on Hyunjin's thigh subconsciously the whole ride, in the middle of the ride there, Hyunjin worked up enough courage to set his hand on top of Chan's and intertwine their fingers. Chan glanced at him, but didn't move. This small glance made him more shy as he watched Chan's hand begin to stroke the younger's knuckle with his thumb. As soon as he pulled into the parking lot, Hyunjin retracted his hand quickly, afraid to be seen. They both went up to the dorms and as soon as they were alone in the elevator, thick tension filled the air. Hyunjin could feel Chan's eyes on him, as he looked up at him, looking into Chan's dark eyes. Without thinking, they both begin to get closer to each other and lean in. Just as they were about to kiss, their lips mere centimeters away from each other's, the elevator door dinged open, bringing the two boys back to their senses. Both of them instantly left the elevator, going to their respective dorms and gay panicking before Chan began to feel bad about what he was about to do. Hyunjin quickly pushed the thoughts out and went to get dinner and a shower before bed, as Chan just decided to go to bed without dinner or a shower.
