*~Dark Enchantress x Reader~*

Chapter 1

The sun shone through the windows of your home as you woke up. You yawned and stretched before hopping out of bed to get ready for the busy day ahead of you.

Now normally you had one job and it was to simply patrol the kingdom twice a day to make sure no suspicious individuals were lurking around, but today you had more on your to-do list. For you and a few others had planned on going exploring the old Vanilla Kingdom even though Gingerbrave and his friends had already explored, you and your group wanted to go see it for yourself.

Once you were dressed and ready, you grabbed your staff and made your way out the door. You quickly began your patrol, checking off little things in your head, sort of rushing to get done as soon as possibly. You didn't take too long before your patrol had came to an end and you rushed off to go find your friends to see if they were ready to head out.

"Calm down (y/n)! We're in no rush!" Milk chuckled lightly as you were basically brimming with excitement
"I'm sorry Milk! It's just, this is such a big deal to me! I mean it's not everyday you get to explore the Vanilla Kingdom!" You replied, beaming at your comrade.
"Yes, yes, I'm well aware, but it's not like it's going anywhere!" He joked, you simply replied with a huff.
"Come on! Let's go get everyone else! The sooner we head out, the sooner we can get there and start looking around!" You said happily, lightly grabbing Milk's arm to drag him along.

It wouldn't take long before you and group had officially got together and headed out. Your group had consisted of Milk, Purple Yam, Expresso, and Latte.

It did take a while to arrive at the old kingdom, especially due to the increase in cake monsters and wafflebots that basically guarded the place.
"Hm..were all these creatures always here?" You asked to no one in particular
"They must've slowly collected here for shelter over the many years this kingdom was abandoned." Expresso suggested with a small shrug. You accepted this answer as your group made your way to the front doors of the palace.

You were panting slightly, due to all the fights you had just got done with, as you smiled proudly.
"Wow, I can't believe Gingerbrave and his friends managed to get past all that themselves.." You heard Milk mutter slightly under his breath.

You just replied with a little laugh as you put your hands on the handles and pushed the doors wide open, but then stopped.
The place was wrecked! Of course you weren't expecting it to be in perfect, or even good, condition, but this was still pretty shocking!
The statues of Pure Vanilla had been graffitied with big red X's while others were simply crumbled. Carpets and curtains were torn to shreds and chandeliers broken on the ground.
It was truly a shocking site indeed.

You, along with everyone else, proceeded with cation after seeing the condition the place was in. You were all pretty sure there was probably a bigger threat in here than there was your entire time coming here.
Although, after exploring for a while and seeing no threat whatsoever, you all had agreed you could split up to go explore. 'Whatever wrecked this place is probably not here anymore and this place is truly abandoned for the time being' was the conclusion you all agreed on.

After splitting up, you had made your way down a long hallway filled with painting, some ripped and some in pretty decent condition. You stared in awe at everything, fascinated with all this history right before your eyes. It wasn't long before you had came across and greenhouse looking type building that had been in the kingdom.

Curiosity had gotten to you and you carefully stepped inside. Once you did you had been greeted with white lilies everywhere! The sun shone, creating a peaceful atmosphere as you continued to admire the scenery.

Walking deeper into the greenhouse, you stopped in your tracks when you had noticed something..or someone? Yep. Definitely a someone. You tried to look at the person better, quickly realizing it was no one from your group. Instead it was a woman who wore a black and red dress, kneeling down and touching a lily. She looked quite bothered by something at that moment.

You were about to approach her until you saw her crush the lily in her hand and shooting her eyes towards you.
You stumbled back slightly in surprise as she got back onto her feet and had started walking towards you, her eyes practically glowing red with anger.

You were quick to turn and run away, running out of the greenhouse and into a new hallway. You kept running for a bit before you stopped 'Wait..why did I run?' You asked yourself, until you remembered the glare that woman had given you. You shivered slightly at the memory but you did just shake it off.

Although, even though you kept exploring you made sure to put your guard up again. That woman did not seem very welcoming to the idea of you, or anyone else for the matter, being in that palace.

Alright, that's the end of that chapter! I swear I'll try to upload better! It's just somethings came up! Also I will try to have more in my next chapter, this one is to basically get the ball rolling!
