The next morning when you woke up, the memories from the previous day came flooding back. It's not like you forgot them, no, you had just tried to push them out of your mind at night so you could actually sleep.

You sat up, stretched, and did your daily morning routine. Of course this time, while brushing your teeth, you silently cursed as you remembered that you didn't do your patrol last night. Now when you walk out the door you will either be faced with a.) your entire kingdom in havoc with chaos everywhere or b.) just an angry white haired man that will give you a light scolding about your responsibilities. Either sound like hell.

After you thought about that, it wasn't long before the events at the abandoned Vanilla Kingdom started to overtake your thoughts. I mean, why would someone wreck the place so bad? Why so many cake monsters? Who was that woman? Did that woman previously live there? Was she apart of the kingdom in someway?

Now these questions were bugging you.

You soon tried to shake them off as you grabbed your bag and you grabbed your staff as you headed out of your home, locking the door behind you.

You start your patrol around, scanning the area before, would you have guessed it, Milk saw and approached you.

As expected, he scolded you about you missing your patrol, of course not being too harsh.

"Something bad could've happened, (y/n)! What if a bad cookie had came and attacked someone?" Milk said, crossing his arms

"Look, I'm sorry! Truthfully, it's just yesterday really wiped me out.." You replied with a sigh.

He took this as a reason and simply told you to please tell him so him or Purple Yam could take over those nights.

You agreed and went on your way, finishing up your patrol. As you finish up, you felt hungry and decided to treat yourself to one of the snacks at the diner that was recently built in the tiny kingdom. While walking up to the diner, you quickly saw something out of the corner of your eye in the forest.

You shrugged it off and walked in. You had ordered one (snack of your choosing) and one (drink of your choosing) to go. You quickly got your stuff, paid, and walked out, planning to enjoy your little snack outside in the sun.

As you were enjoying your food, you noticed the shadowy figure in the outskirts of the forest, coming dangerously close to inside the kingdom. You shrugged it off again, assuming that maybe it was just a kid or some sugar gnome.

That was until you looked at the figure more and the more and more that it started to look like a full grown person standing there.

'Alright, can't shrug that one off.' You though to yourself as you stood up, mentally prepping yourself to go confront whoever was there .

You cautiously walked closer to the shadowy figure and when you had gotten close enough, you asked "Hello?"

Whoever this was, was clearly spooked by the sudden interaction and looked at you. It had hit you that this was indeed a grown man, doing god knows what in the shadows. Since he looked at you, you had gotten a pretty good look at his face.

He had gray skin with yellow piercing eyes. His hair was a shade of purple and he was dressed in a sorry excuse of a robe.

You were about to speak again before he quickly ran off, back into the unclaimed forest, leaving you in shock. Did..did he even live here? Did he know where he was? What? Why? Huh?

You turned back, now having a goal to go find Milk and tell him about that guy.

While searching for wherever Milk might be, your mind quickly wandered back to the woman from yesterday. Did she have anything to do with that guy? Nah, that seems like a stretch. But maybe? I mean, this dude didn't randomly appear until after you met her, and he could've been lurking last night, but since you weren't on patrol, you won't know.

You sighed and tried to get back on track. Report that creep and go on about your day. Simple. You soon found Milk and reported what you saw. He nodded, understanding, and also saying he would warn all the other people who also patrolled to keep their eyes out for the guy you described.

After your report, you two decided to hang out a little for the rest of the morning, just wandering around and chatting a little.

"So, what are your plans for the rest of the day?" Milk asked curiously

"Hmm..I have an idea, but first I must ask..is your schedule open today?" You asked

"Well, yeah, considering the only thing on the rest of my schedule today is my patrol for tonight, why do you ask?"

"Weeelllll,,, I was wondering if you were up for a little trip"
