3. this shit is debilitating to watch.

after the party of new year's, milani had gotten a text from the boy at the party.

she didn't even realize it was him at first, she wasn't drunk when she'd accepted his offer but she never got his name and it sort of slipped her mind.

until she got a text saying his name was elliot, the guy from the party.

still, she didn't text back.

sort of shitty, yeah. but she honestly hadn't expected anything to come from it. she also never saw him at east highland, so if he does go there, hopefully it'll be easy to miss him.

the last couple days flew by and before she knew it, it was time to go back to school.

she'd been scrambling to get all her stuff together since she woke up ten minutes later than intended.

monique was awake, luckily. she didn't have to deal with dragging silas out of bed and forcing him to get ready in five minutes.

part of the deal for her to get her own car was she had to take silas to school every morning. she never minded it but now that they both go to the same school it was a lot simpler.

grabbing her car keys she picked up an apple, "silas are you ready?" the girl called out before taking a bite.

"i'm coming, i'm coming,"

milani shot him a slight glance before walking out the door.

"ugh, it's too cold for california." she muttered and started the car.

milani was never a morning person, but being up this early just to go to school with a bunch of people she didn't like just didn't sit right with her spirit.

pulling into student parking, she saw a bunch of skateboarders riding in the street. a specific one chose to swerve in front of her car missing it by ever so slightly.

with milani stomping on the break and blowing the horn the rider got the idea as they held up their hands in salute.

"i fucking hate teenagers," she announced pulling into her designated parking spot.

"you are one, though." silas pointed out.

she sent him a glare, "don't be a smartass, it's too early for that."

getting out of the car, milani noticed the same rider happened to be the guy from the party, elliot.

"first you ignore me then you try and hit me? that's harsh, milani." silas seemed amused by the random boy coming up and teasing his sister.

in contrast, milani rolled her eyes, "you swerved in front of me, dumbass." she tried to walk past him but he caught her, looping his right arm around her neck.

this amused silas even more, definitely fuel he could use to tease her later, "who's this?" the younger boy finally asks, keeping a steady pace with the two.

elliot held up his fist, "hey man, i'm elliot."

"silas." he didn't protest at all but instead bumped their fist together and smiled, he then decided he liked elliot.

"can you let go of me?" milani asked, still in elliot's grasp.

"no way, you're just gonna run away and forget about me, again."
