11 | As Sure As I Am

Taehyung and Jungkook have been living together for 6 months. Jungkook still works with recovering addicts out of his old flat opposite, though Taehyung refuses to accept any rent for the flat, saying it's his contribution to the Phoenix Centre. Taehyung's business continues to go from strength to strength, with the Oyster Bar now nearing completion. In short, the two men have settled into an easy rhythm; neither can imagine life without the other and both are are happier than they thought was possible.

'So, Kook what would you like for your birthday? It's only a few days away. We could go out and get you some new clothes together?'

'You know I don't want toy-boy clothes Bear.'

'You don't still think I might be using you, do you?'

'No, of course not, but I don't need anything Bear, I'm so happy with my life, I have you, that's all I need.'

'Now who's being cheesy?!'

'Yeah, ok, I did slightly gag, hearing myself say that!'

'Well, I'm going to have to do something. How about a surprise party?'

'And who would you invite, Bogum?'

'Oh yeah, ha ha, very funny.'

They haven't seen Bogum since that episode.

'I know, I've had an idea.'

'Oh, what? I don't want to go to a super fancy restaurant either.'

'Honestly, Kook, give me some credit.'

Taehyung sounds slightly exasperated.

'Ok, so what is it then?'

'It's going to be a surprise!'

'What?!' Jungkook whines, 'Why did you tell me about it then?'

'Now you know you'll have something to look forward to,' he says and grins.

It's Jungkook's birthday and Taehyung has taken Jungkook breakfast in bed, including coffee. Under Jungkook's instruction, he has been learning how to do some latte art and managed a little heart for him.
