Taehyung sits for hours, hoping that Jungkook will return safely. Eventually he hears the sound of a motorbike pulling up. He looks down and sees Jungkook getting off his motorbike and going into the flat.
He doesn't look up.
He watches as Jungkook enters Flat 4 and sees him immediately walk to the window and close the curtains. Taehyung rushes over to the flat and rings on the entry phone. He hears Jungkook's voice,
'Who is it?'
'Jungkook, it's me Taehyung, please can we talk?'
Nothing, no response. He tries again, but this time Jungkook doesn't bother to answer. Taehyung is not really surprised, but he had to try. He walks sadly back to his flat.
For the rest of the week, Taehyung watches out of his window as often as he can, in hopes of seeing Jungkook. He wants to speak to him, but he also just craves a glimpse of him. He has tried everything: he has tried talking to him, he has written to him, he has sent flowers every day, but every day he watches jungkook throw them in the bin outside.
He never looks up.
Taehyung realises now that he has made the worst mistake of his life.

It's Sunday morning and Taehyung knows that Jungkook is likely to visit Sunny. He waits outside his building, hoping that this time he can persuade Jungkook to talk to him. He sees Jungkook coming towards the door, with his helmet in hand.

As soon as he's outside, Jungkook says,
'What the fuck do you want, I thought I made it clear I don't want to talk to you.'
'Jungkook, I don't know what to do to make it right, please tell me,' he says desperately.
' "Make it right",' he scoffs, 'I will only say this once Taehyung. I never want to see you again. Ever. And don't worry, as soon as I can find somewhere suitable, I intend to move out of your flat so that you can fill it with a more suitable tenant,' he says scathingly.
'But I don't want another tenant. Please Jungkook, please, I'm so sorry, I made such a terrible mistake.'
'It's all words Taehyung, just words. Now fuck the hell off and leave me alone.'
He puts on his helmet, starts his engine, revs a few times and then pulls away at speed, leaving Taehyung again staring at the empty space that Jungkook has left.

Taehyung is in his car driving to the Phoenix Recovery Centre, supposedly to talk to Hyo about the fundraising event, but really he is hoping to speak to Sunny. Although they only met the once, she seemed to like him, although things may have changed now, he thinks sadly. He arrives at the centre and parks in the same visitor spot as before and his heart aches a little.
