There was only so much Y/n could do as they watched their best friend become trapped in Brooklyn's darkness. The boy had gone crazy with power once more. All Brooklyn wanted was to destroy the Bladebreakers.

"No!"

Y/n wanted to help, what else could they do. They released their Beyblade, tears streaming down their face.

Maybe Y/n's light Bitbeast could defeat the darkness from Brooklyn, it was the person's only option.

A laugh escaped Brooklyn's mouth. He was ready for the person's challenge, truly believing there was nobody apart from Kai who could beat them and Kai had been trapped.

"You're foolish to challenge me, the great Brooklyn," the demon said. "I am unstoppable. I will destroy all those I have trapped."

Y/n looked at the boy, the tears streaming down their face at the thought of anything happening to Max.

They could recall the first time they met Max, the boy had bumped into them and kept apologising for ruining their shirt.

It went on to them exchanging numbers, to going out, all as friends, because of course Y/n fell in love with the hyper, positive boy. They loved him with their whole heart. The thought of something happening to him destroyed them.

"I won't let you hurt him," Y/n whispered as they closed their eyes. "I refuse to allow you to break him."

Brooklyn laughed, truly believing nothing was stronger than him. "Max will be the first one I destroy."

Y/n's eyes opened, glowing brightly, the same colour as the sun, their beyblade glowing the same colour. "No!"

A gasp escaped Brooklyn's mouth as the Beyblade attacked him instead of his Beyblade. He felt his power draining, slowly becoming weaker.

"Stop! Stop this madness."

The Beyblade kept attacking him, all while blood started dripping down Y/n's nose. They were using all of their strength to defeat him. They would do so until their last breath.

"Attack, full power!" They screamed.

A loud scream escaped Brooklyn's mouth as the darkness disappeared and everybody returned, including Max.

Y/n smiled slightly as their vision became blurry. Everybody was okay, everything would be okay. 

Max rushed over to Y/n catching them before they fell. "Y/n, you did it, you saved us," he said, proud of his best friend and secret crush. "I did it for you, because I love you." They weren't afraid to tell the boy, it may be the last time they saw each other on earth.

"I love you too," Max said, gently kissing their lips.

Y/n's eyes slowly fluttered shut.

They were okay, that was what the hospital said, they were weak, but they survived. Max would be with his soul mate once they recovered.
