Win smiled at his laptop screen, the cafe he sat in was slowly getting filled with the morning rush of office workers but he still had a few spreadsheets to go over before he could afford to take a quick break for another coffee.
He had come into the cafe very early in the morning and had to embarrassingly wait half an hour before it opened because he was so bored in his hotel room that the sheer idea of finishing his work anywhere else had dragged him out quite abruptly. He still had a day before the big conference he was visiting Bangkok for was going to happen but he still had to go over a few documents before that.
He could have easily done it yesterday night by simply staying in his room and working, but a very important engagement that absolutely could not be missed had his priorities set.
Bright fucking Vachirawit Chivaree had the first show of his upcoming world tour and it had very pleasingly inclined with Win's visit to the capital. When the tour dates were announced, Win was so bummed out cos he wasn't going to make it due to his work commitments but everything had sorted out perfectly with this new meeting he was sent for.
There was no way he was going to miss it, he even had to pay twice for the tickets from a girl off the internet because she couldn't make it. But it was worth it.
So damn worth it, especially when Bright had stepped towards his section and smiled like an absolute god, he had almost screamed like the girls around him but that last shred of male dignity tethered him and he just smiled and sang along with the talented artist.
Win longingly stared at the counter where he saw a customer take their order for espresso and go. He concentrated back on his work.
.............
Bright pulled the sunglasses to rest more snugly on his nose bridge, a dull ache in his head had made an appearance early in the morning so even though he had no schedule for today he was out for an espresso. He was going to visit his Mother before he boarded his flight for the show in the Philippines that was scheduled in a week.
"P'Bright, you should wait in the car, I will be back with your coffee in a jiffy"
"Uh-okay" His overzealous younger assistant chirped, Pha was a university student who was working part-time with the agency, and even when her energy and weird lingos usually tired him out she was a good kid to be around.
He stared at the sidewalk from his tinted windows trying to guess the drinks the passersby were taking with them, it kept him amused for a bit until his head throbbed in a wave, he massaged his forehead regretting the few drinks he downed with the band to celebrate the success of the show. He tried to look for Pha inside the shop but something else caught his eye.
The morning sun rays hit the cafe's clear windows and stream inside lighting the face of one of the customers who had his eyes dead set on the laptop in front of him, reading glasses resting on his high nose bridge, Bright did a double-take because the stranger's face somehow felt familiar, he pulled his own face closer to the closed car window analyzing the stranger.
The man looked stressed while he typed furiously on his laptop, then he rested himself on the back of his chair and ran his fingers through his hair pushing it back for a second before ruffling it and resuming his typing.
Bright gasped and opened his car door, getting out in a hurry.
What the fuck are you doing?
He halted. His own actions surprised him, not understanding this strong urge to go see the unknown man he retrieved.
It was the man from the show last night.
