End Game
Devon melted through the floor, the gate consumed him. As he cried in pain, all of his past rushed through his mind. Kate's beautiful smile. Being with his family. why was this taken from him, why did God take him family?
"Just kill me." Devon whispered.
"I don't want to live anymore."
A high pitch sound came over his motionless body. Everything was dark. But in the distance, he could hear footsteps. Louder and louder they came towards him. Devon gazed up at the being staring down at him. She placed a hand on his chest, her beautiful smile, lit up the dark room. "—Kate?" Devon said with a tiny voice.
"Yes my love, it's me."
Devon cried violently, water was flushed in his eyes. Kate sat down next to Devon, holding him close to her,
"You have to go back." Kate said.
"Go back?"
"Save our little girl Devon."
Devon stood up slowly, and got back to his feet, still holding on his chest, but his wounds were healed.
"I love you so much." Devon said.
Devon held the jewel in his hands, and then she slowly faded away. Then an echo of whisper went through the house.
"I love you too."
The jewel around his neck started to glow, he looked ahead through his brow, a full sense of life came through him.
Skye
The rain was hitting the living room bay window very hard, like tiny rocks being thrown at the glass. Skye was very worried, she felt useless and didn't know what to do to help her father. Suddenly a loud bang was heard. Skye jumped closer to the window.
"Was that—a gun shot."
Ryan and his wife ran inside the living room, in a panic they all curled up in a corner of the room.
"Don't make a sound." Ryan Said.
It was quiet, maybe they gave up. Suddenly a lawn chair was thrown through the living room window, making an awful crash, broken glass shattering all around them. In deep, grizzly voice,
"Skye!"
"I've come for you—
Devon ran out of his house, screaming at the top of his lungs for his daughter. Quickly Ryan and his wife ran towards Devon from across the street.
"He took her." Ryan yelled.
"Where did he take her?"
"I don't know—Devon, what's wrong with Tom."
"Call 911, I'm going to look for her."
Devon only had one lead of where they possibly might be. He drove back up North Vince to the old chapel, for it had some significance to Tom, or whatever was controlling him. But what that was, was very unclear.
As Devon drove, the rain poured. Hitting the windshield hard. He knew this was not going to end in a happy manner, he wished it would. He wished he could do something for Tom.
Devon arrived. Got out of his truck, but the main entrance was blocked by a police truck. So Devon decided to go around the old stone building for another vantage point inside. The gate was screeching in his ear. Devon entered through the gate, as he walked plantation grew around his feet, cars that drove past him faded into ash. The dead appeared out of the shadows,
