Bio: Kari may have lived in Amity, but not everyone is as kind, especially in her household. She was sexually abused by her father, which is how she earned her scars on her back, which she keeps hidden. After the Choosing Ceremony, she tells her brother Matthew that if he wanted to join Erudite, he could, no exceptions. After her test results came back inconclusive, and she discovered that she couldn't live in Amity after what her father's done to her for a long time, not to mention her mother ignored her daughter whenever she was found crying in her room after a "session" with her father, she joins Dauntless out of not only fear, but in hopes that she'll get revenge on her abuser for everything he's put her through for years. She also has scars on her thighs followed by bruises as well from her father and what he did to her. Everyone in Amity has always turned a blind eye since her father's one of the representatives of Amity alongside their leader, Johanna Reyes.
