"Happy new year!" Karin suddenly shouted with a wide smile coming down the stairs, Kyo sweatdropped at her while Kazuma smiled.
"Why are you moping around? We should be celebrating. It's a big thing in the Sohma family or has things changed?" Karin asked with confusion as she made her way towards the kitchen.
"No, It isn't important" Kyo stated with a glare while Karin furrowed her eyes looking at the boy while Kazuma sighed, Kyo soon stood up and stomped up the stairs. Karin looked confused.
"Tonight's the banquet of all the curse Zodiac and the cat isn't allowed to come," Kazuma said as Karin's eyes were wide before she sighed looking up the stairs.
"I had no idea," Karin said with a sign before she looked up the stairs before she grabbed Kazuma's hand "I'm gonna go and talk to him"
"Hey," Karin said knocking on the door as kyo sat on his bed, his turned before he rolled his eyes.
"Don't bother!" He screamed as Karin sighed before she sat down next to him, Kyo just looked away
"Does it matter what the others are doing?" Karin asked as Kyo furrowed his eyes in confusion turning towards her.
"I mean there just some people who occasionally see. Other than Haru, Kagura, and Momiji who else do you know? Shouldn't you spend the new year with people who love you and you care about?" Karin asked as Kyo looked at her
"I always preferred it that way. I didn't like spending it with my mum and dad but my sister" Karin said as Kyo's eyes widened "We always tried our best to have fun" Karin said while Kyo looked at her.
"Once, I had sneaked into the main estate and stole some fireworks, your mother was a lot older than me and she was a bit of a worrier but when we lit the fireworks. The worry fell from her face as she looked so happy" she said with a smile while Kyo looked with wide eyes
"All I'm trying to say kid is that you don't need to be at the main estate. All you need is to be surrounded by people you love and love you" Karin said stroking his cheek while Kyo looked at her
"Okay" Kyo states as Karin smiled before she got off the bed and made her way towards the door "I'm gonna go to shops and get your favorite," she said
"Karin!" Kyo shouted before the women could leave as she looked back at him "thank you... for everything" he spoke as Karin's eyes widened
"You don't have to thank me, kid," she said before walking out, as she sighed loudly before she made her way down the stairs and walked towards the man who stood at the end of the hall
"We should tell him tonight," Karin said with a smile as she grabbed the man hands she smiled and squeeze her hand
"Are you sure?" Kazuma asked as Karin simple smiled up at him as she nodded
"I'm sure" she spoke before pressing her lips against his as she smiled into it
Karin walked into the house, a look of confusion filling her face as she saw a small white shirt child sitting at her table as she walked towards Kazuma.
"I didn't realize we were having any more guests" Karin smiled towards Kazuma as the man nodded
"Yes, that's Aika. Akito's sister" Kazuma said as Karin's eyes widened as she turned towards the child
"Akira daughter? Wow now that I'm looking she does look like him" Karin smiled softly as Kazuma smiled
"You were his friend, right? The master of the Sohma's?" Kazuma asked as Karin nodded as she walked to the kitchen
"Yeah childhood friends actually, my father hoped we would marry but it was never like that" Karin laughed as she began to wash the vegetables
"How come she's here? Will she not be at the banquet?" Karin asked looking towards Kazuma who simply smiled
"She's the songbird, so no" Kazuma said while Karin sighed her fist clenching fighting in the vegetables
"It's so unfair!" She shouted before Kazuma sighed and came toward her, placing his hands on her hips
"Calm did my love" Kazuma smiled while Karin looked at him before hugging her as she looked at the kids meeting the eyes of Aika and smiling.
"Now get out!" Karin shouted pushing Kazuma away as she placed her hand on her hips "I know how terrible you are at cooking and I'm not having you burn down the kitchen" she said with a smile as Kazuma laughed
"Uh, who knew two kids could be so much trouble" Karin frowned leaning back with a glass of wine in her hand
"We're not bad you hag!" Kyo shouted at Karin glared at him
"Watch your tone kid!" Karin shouted back at Kazuma came to sit down beside Karin as he smiled.
"Now now you two" He states calmly while Kyo rolled his eyes as Karin sighed "Kyo," Kazuma said as the boy looked at him
"We have something to tell you," Kazuma said smiling slightly as Karin sat up, her eyes falling on the boy.
"I and Karin are in a relationship Kyo," Kazuma said while Karin smiled nervously
"What?" Kyo said blinking before the boy looked down to see their hands interlocked before he dumbfounded.
"You old hag has bewitched master!" Kyo shouted standing up and pointing at the woman as her eyes widened
"I'm not that old! And I haven't done anything!" Karin said standing up with glare with the two simple gave each other daggers
"What if... what if you split up?" Kyo asked while Karin's eyes softened as she looked down at Kazuma
"Kyo, I don't plan on splitting up with Karin," Kazuma said as Karin's eyes widened looking at the man "I want us to become a family and I wouldn't let anything change that"
"Kazuma," Karin said eyes wide while Kyo looked at the two.
"I promise you, Karin, I won't cause you any harm and o won't let you go," Kazuma said while Karin's eyes widened before she smiled
"I won't let you go either," Karin said while both adults looked back down to see Kyo looking at the two concerned
"We're not leaving you Kyo, not ever" Karin smiled ruffling his hair while Kyo nodded before he endured Kazuma in a hug as Karin smiled.
