Many hours later, it was around 2am in the firehouse. Most of the gang went back home to rest before their shift started the next morning, but Egon and Arlo had stayed behind in their offices.

After drinking her third cup of tea of the night, she decided to go out for a walk to stretch her legs. Before she could get a chance to leave the firehouse however, Egon grabbed her arm. "Jeez! What's with you today." she jumped at his action. "Sorry, just wanted to catch you before you left." he let go of her.

She cleared her throat, "Well, whatcha want?" Egon's eyes widened, "Oh. Right. Um, you wanted to talk?" Arlo raised an eyebrow, "About what?" Egon looked nervous. "You know. About feelings and whatever." he looked down to the floor. Arlo's eyes widened, "Ah, right. We can do that." she nodded. "Okay, I mean, great." Egon said.

The pair had began to walk down the street the firehouse was on. "So, was Janine right?" she asked him, voice a bit shaky from the cold. "In a matter of speaking, yes." Egon replied, hands in his trench coat. "How come you're so mean to me, then?" Arlo questioned. Egon didn't speak for a brief moment. "I guess it was my way of hiding how I felt about you." he answered.

Arlo hugged herself to keep warm. "You cold?" he asked. Arlo scoffed with a shiver in her voice, "Way to go captain obvious. I am in fact cold." Egon chuckled at her sarcasm.

"Come here."

"What? Why?" Arlo questioned. "We can share my coat." he offered. "And how would we do that?" Arlo raised an eyebrow. "Sorta like this." he gently pulled Arlo close to him and wrapped half of his trench coat around her. "Oh. I see." she blushed. "All better now. Nice and warm, don't you think?" Egon smiled. "Yeah. Very nice." she nodded, trying to hide her face from him. "Aw, you're blushing aren't you?" Egon teased. "I mean, maybe. Because you're hot, I mean, you are hot but," she rambled. Egon laughed, keeping her close.

"What about you?" he asked her. "Well, I suppose you could say I have some sort of feeling for you, although they never really popped up 'till recently." she confessed. Egon was intrigued, "Do tell me." Arlo nodded, "Okay, so ever since Janine told me that you had feelings for me I couldn't really get you off my mind, you know?"

"Mhm."

"And I honestly thought I was going crazy. I mean it was like you were this really hot attractive man on some magazine I saw." Arlo rambled. "A really hot attractive man on some magazine? Really?" he raised an eyebrow. Arlo looked up at him with an embarrassed smile. "I guess one of those hot nerds. You've got the body for it." she said, looking up and down at him. He laughed and pulled her closer to him. Their warmth engulfed each other.

"I suppose we should be getting back now. You gonna go home?" Egon asked. Arlo shrugged, "Eh, I probably should, but home doesn't really feel like home right now." Egon tilted his head, "How come?" he asked. "They're doing some renovations in my apartment complex, so it's hard to get sleep recently." Arlo replied. "Ah, I see. You gonna book a hotel room?"

"I could, but I don't think I have enough money for a decent one. Plus, I don't want to get traumatized by people," she paused, "having fun" she chose her words with care, "next door." Egon chuckled, "Well, you could always come to my place. Although, it's not that kept up at the moment." he began to think. "I'd love to come over. Have you got tea?" she asked.

After long walk back to the firehouse, Egon and Arlo grabbed some stuff they left and made their way back out into the cold. "You sure you don't want my coat?" he asked. "Nah, I'll be fine. It's not too far, is it?" she questioned. Egon gave her a crooked smile, "It's just down that street." he pointed. "Oh, perfect."

The pair made it to his apartment complex, walking up to the third floor and through the hallway to his door. "Here it is." he announced. "How exciting." Arlo chuckled. He unlocked the door to his apartment, letting Arlo go in first. "Oh, wow." Arlo looked around his spacious living room. "That's a lovely painting." she commented on the painting above his couch.

Egon locked the door back up. "Thanks. Found it in some alleyway and thought it would look good." he sat his keys on the dining table and made his way to Arlo. She sat down on the couch, bouncing on it a few times. "Pretty decent couch as well. Damn." Egon laughed at her action, "I'll sleep on the couch tonight. I think you'll like my bed better."

The two walked to his room, very minimalistic and clean. "And I thought you said the place wasn't kept up." she scoffed. "Well, yeah." Egon chuckled nervously. "Anyways, I'll still take the couch." Arlo said, walking back out to the hallway. "You sure? The bed is way comfier." he questioned.

"Is this some way of you having me sleep in your bed with you?" Arlo teased, turning back to him. Egon's cheeks turned a bright red. "Uhm, hah. No." he stuttered. Arlo walked to him and stood on the tips of her feet, kissing him on the cheek.

"Good."
