Recap*
Third person pov*

"Our first training day will be tomorrow and 7:00am so don't be late and don't eat anything." Kakashi said before leaving. The kids looked at each other. They never talk to each other but now that they're on the same team they've come to acknowledge that they're all in the same boat. Outcasts, rejected by their birth place. It's a bond they share that's far stronger than anything else.

The day of the test arrives and all three kids arrive on time and wait for their new teacher.
"What's the point of any of this?" Naruto complained in frustration. It's been about an hour and their teacher still hasn't arrived.
"Of course he'd abandon us. What makes him different from all the other villagers." Sasuke said in disappointment.
"He's been through the same as us if not worse. Think about it, he's an adult and he's been in our place ever since he was our age. He must have it worse off than us I doubt he'd want to leave us. This must be apart of some test." Sakura explained trying to convince herself more than anyone else.
"Don't get your hopes up. That never ends well." Naruto said as he sat under a tree.
"You can't blame me for wanting to believe in someone." Sakura replied, after that everyone fell silent and just waited. As noon rolled around Sasuke got tired of waiting and the young blonde had fallen asleep. Right as Sasuke was about to leave the silver haired ninja walked up to them.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, I got lost on the path of life." The ninja gave a fake excuse. Sasuke scuffed as the blonde yawned. Sakura looked at her teacher in disbelief. He was there, he was actually right there.

"Are you ready for today's test?" Said the silver haired ninja as he held up two bells.
"What's the point? No matter how strong we are we'll never be accepted." The blonde announced and Sasuke nodded in agreement.
"It's because no one accepts you." The older ninja replied.
"What're you going on about?" Sasuke said in annoyance.
"It's because no one cares about you that you have to become stronger. Strong enough to protect yourself, strong enough to end your own suffering, strong enough to be enough. You have to become your reason to live." Kakashi said in response as he looks at the three students in front of him, seeing his younger self in them.
"Yeah whatever." Naruto remarked as he rolled his eyes.
"What're the bells for?" Sakura asked, finally changing the subject. Kakashi sighed in relief before answering.
"Ah, you'll have to take them from me if you want to pass." He said as he tired the bells onto his pants.
"Really?! That's it?" Naruto asked in excitement. As he didn't think it'd be much of a challenge. Little did he know he was dead wrong.
