Chapter 10

#Meena's POV#

It was when I first laid my eyes on the painting Karthik gifted to Shruti. "WOW! It's so amazing,'' didn't know who the artist was but couldn't stop thinking about a painting of myself.

The artist's sign was on the painting and it was written as 'R's art' in cursive, it felt similar like I saw it somewhere. Even though I worked my brains out but couldn't remember where I've seen it and gave up.

A few days after that our professor gave a sheet and it should be signed by everyone. "Meena! Make sure that everyone signed this," he assigned me the job of getting everyone's sign. On that day before submitting the sheet I checked the signature part if there's anyone left.

I wasn't at fault when I thought the artist's sign felt similar, the cursive R is exactly same as one of my classmates' signature and it was, "Rajesh?"
I couldn't believe it at first, Rajesh capable of drawing so good... No Way!

I took a picture of his signature to compare again and when I did, "Even an elementary kid can tell these two are identical.''

Rajesh... He's a quite person... I've never talked to him much only few times but I could tell that he's a good guy and average in both studies and looks. Is these his hidden talent? 

I fell in love with Shruti's painting and wanted one of my own, I wasn't completely sure that Rajesh's the one who did it but I wanted find so that I can have one of my own.

I started to observe Rajesh in class, sometimes he used to look at me and turns his gaze somewhere else the moment I notice him, didn't know why he does that.

There's something I noticed, Rajesh is so close to Karthik even watched them leave college together, " Hey Sruthi, Rajesh and Karthik are close?" Asked her as Karthik is her boyfriend and depending on how close Karthik is to Rajesh, he would defiantly tell her.

''You mean Raj? They are best friends, '' it shocked me when she addressed Rajesh as Raj.

"You call him Raj?" Surprisingly I asked.

"Yeah I talk to him, but not in college only sometimes when I talk to Karthik on call, they both live in the same apartment,'' she replied.

"Why didn't you tell me,'' raised my voice against her for hiding it from me.

"Why are you so interested on Raj anyway? You've been staring at him from the past few days,'' closing in on me she continued, '' Did you fall for him or what?" Whispered in my ears.

I was flustered hearing those words, pushed her away and denied by saying, " No way!"

The information she gave was more than enough for me to come to a conclusion that it was made by Rajesh. Karthik and Rajesh share an apartment, Rajesh might hide it from other but he can't from someone who shares an apartment with.

Day after day my curiosity grew on him, watching him being teased by his friends for being dumb, getting all flustered while talking to girls. Everything about him is cute but  everyone has a bad side, one day he snapped and had a small fight with Suhas who's a close friend of mine.

Everyone in class got involved, it started causing a commotion, so I stepped in stopping Suhas. " That's enough Suhas, you're at fault apologize, '' I said, disappointed by my words Suhas replied arrogantly, " Tell him to keep his temper in control first,'' and left the class.

When I directed my eyes to Rajesh, there was no sign of dumbness or looked like a guy who gets teased rather the one who teases others a scary delinquent. That was my first time seeing that side of him and realized I don't know everything about him.
