"that “studying is the start of success” I know, mother." I groaned, going to my desk and grabbing out my book.

study, study, study. graduate and make your parent proud.

"argh I can't study!" I ruffled my hair out of frustration and then opened my phone.

I was just playing games and then a stupid ad comes in.

"Looking for a study buddy?"

no.

"well then this app is for you! Meet ENSTUDY. a place where you can study AND meet new friends!"

oh? Okay. I'm listening..

"This app is completely free so you don't need to worry about money because capitalism sucks!"

damn right it is.

I shrugged and downloaded the app.

I mean why not?

I opened the app and I signed up firstly, then I pick my country and the screen suddenly shows me a dude doing the same thing.

"Hi!" I waved

"Hello!" he has this bright smile, similar to a golden retriever.

"I'm Jake and I'm currently studying for my finals but I need a study buddy in order to do that (laughs)"

I laughed as well

What the fuck is this man saying, I can't understand.

"uh— do you know korean?" I asked in english.

"nah mate, not a word." he shakes his head

"Do you wanteu me to teach you Korean?" I asked and he nods

I opened another tab for googl translate cause I'm not good at English very well

He laughs then smiles

"Hi I'm Jake. I'm From Australia and I need a study buddy to study"

I translated that in Korean and nodded.

So he wants a study buddy.

"Bro I actually speak korean you don't have to Google translate it" Jake said it in fluent Korean and I looked at him in disbelief

"fuck off man I really thought you were from another country" I rolled my eyes and he just laughs

"sorry. But it is fun seeing you putting effort to a person who doesn't understand. You're cool" he gave me a thumbs up and I just rolled my eyes.

"what do you need to study for?" I asked him

"Oh, it's just geometry. I was hoping you know and could teach me" he gives an innocent smile while I sigh

"geometry is easy. What do you need help with?"

"just the pythagorean theorem"

"oh, that's easy. I'll help you"

"sweet! Thanks man. I really appreciate it!"

*we studied for about an hour and got to know each other really well*

"I have to sleep. It's getting late, oh. We should exchange numbers to keep in touch" I said

"sure man. I'll tell you my socials"

"I got them now. Thanks for helping me study, bye Jake!" I waved as he smiles at me

"bye Sunghoon!" then I exited the app.

Holy shit. My heart is beating so fast, what the—?

I decided to not think about it and sleep.
