People change people grow
& I'm here to let you know
It's a beautiful thing
Even though the past may sting
You can embrace the new
What's in the past is through
Leave history where it stands
Moving forward hand in hand
Words may hurt
& actions can be worse
But brush off the dirt
Because it's time to nurse
Hearts will break
& relationships sever
But time & space
Can mend whichever
Dynamics change
Partners may become friends
But that also means enemies
May not last until the end
When we open our hearts
To those who have hurt us
We put ourselves at risk
But, sometimes it's worth the fuss
