Time passes slower the longer you're with me
The magic seeps into my soul so quickly
Though time is up the memories will never fade
They're burned into my brain, where forever they'll stay
I only wish what I know cannot be
That one day you will feel the same about me
I'm letting go because you've asked me to
& I know that's better than having none of you
But somehow I hope that what the future holds
Is even better than what my mind can mold
I know I cannot force what is not
What isn't meant to be mine cannot be caught
If happiness is shared, it shouldn't matter how
I know the joy is real so I don't need a vow
Moments are precious, they're all that I need
I'll take more of them, even if it means less of me

Random Bits Part II
PoetryA continuation of poetry similar to that in my first self-published novel. I will slowly begin adding some newer things from the past few years since I published the first book.
