Andy's POV
I don't get what her big deal is with people liking her. There will be people who don't like you and do like you, it's only normal. You can't please everyone. Ugh I don't get it.
Andy keeps walking as the snow crunches under his feet.. Turning up his music trying to drown out the thoughts in his head.
Andy's POV
Why is it snowing so early? Like seriously, it never snows this early. It definitely has never snowed in September.
Andy continues to walk as it begins to snow harder and harder each step he takes.
Andy's POV
I hate that I had to restart my school life, on my senior year, of all years. Only because of Ashlee. I hope it doesn't happen again. I want to finish high school in one spot. Not bounce to another school in the middle of the school year.
Andy continues to walk along almost slipping a few times due to people's inability to put salt on tthe sidewalks.
Andy's POV
What if no one likes me? Andy, don't start to think like Ashlee. It doesn't matter if people like you. Just be yourself and you'll attract friends. You won't make any friends if you're that annoying kid who's always trying super hard.
Andy makes it onto the school grounds and turns to see what everyone is staring at.
"Of course," Andy mutters rolling his eyes at how much attention Ashlee has already gotten.
Andy looks up at his new school. Taking in the building with almost matching brick.
Andy's POV
Looks like they ran out of that creme color. How unplanned and unprofessional. This school is already sloppier that my last one and I haven't even stepped into it yet.
Andy walks into the school searching for locker number 22A.
"Ashlee Jones to the main office, Ashlee Jones main office," a voice booms over the school speakers.
Andy's POV
Well that didn't take long. How on Earth would she get into trouble that fast?
Andy begins to put his binders in his locker when he feels a light tap on his shoulder.
"Hey, are you the new kid?" A girl asks in a slightly high voice.
"Yeah, one of them," Andy mumbles shoving another binder into his locker.
"Oh well, welcome to the school. I hope you have a great time here," the girl replies holding his books to her chest.
"Thanks?" Andy responds weirded out.
"Oh yeah, the office always wants new people to check in with them, it's just a little down the hallway," the girl responds pointing in the general direction.
"Oh okay, thanks," Andy replies closing his locker.
Andy's POV
Well that's why the office needed Ashlee
Andy walks down the hallway getting strange looks from people.
"She has a brother," a woman says full of concern.
"Really? How come he's not on record then?" Another woman shouts back.
"I don't know," the woman yells back.
"Why don't one of you get up to talk to each other instead of yelling?" A man asks.
"Nah," the two woman respond and giggle at the same time.
"You should really call him down here," the first woman yells.
"No need to call me down, I'm right here," Andy intrupts.
"Oh, we are so sorry for forgetting about you. The paper must have been lost when you registered with us," the first woman apologized
"It's fine," Andy mutters.
"No it's really not....." the woman replies fumbling through papers.
"It's really fine," Andy says a tad louder.
"No it's not, umm. I'll tell you what, you can be with a really pretty girl. Just wait a second," the woman replies getting up going out to the hallway.
"Be with? What does she mean?" Andy asks looking around the office.
"Yeah, she meant to say guide you. We always give new kids someone to follow," the man replies looking up from his paperwork.
"Ah," Andy replies shuffling his feet.
"I don't get why she wouldn't just find someone with the same schedule," the man mutters just loud enough for Andy to hear.
"Well come to think about it I don't know what girls you would find pretty. Everyone has their own type. I'll just find someone with the same schedule as you," The woman replies after being gone for five minutes.
"That's what you should have done," the man mutters.
"Ah ha! I found you someone," the woman says printing out his schedule.
"Who?" The other womene asks.
"Emma," she yells back.
"Isn't she really quiet?" The man asks.
"I've heard her, believe me she's loud," the woman responds.
The woman begins to dial numbers on the phone as the bell signaling first period starting goes off.
"Great," Andy mumbles.
"Hello, can you please send Emma down to the office?" The woman asks.
"It's important, send her down," the woman quickly responds.
"Yes, yes, okay thank you," the woman replies hanging up the phone.
"She'll be right down," the woman says looking at Andy with a huge smile.
"Thanks," Andy mutters pulling out his phone.
"Ummm," the woman says clearing her throat.
"What?" Andy asks looking up from his phone.
"There's.... kind of a no phone policy here...." the woman states.
"Oh okay," Andy replies tucking it away.
"It's fine," the man says with a wink.
Andy stands there looking at his feet waiting for this girl. Minutes pass as the secretaries become uneasy.
"Maybe I should call again?" The woman suggests shrugging her shoulders.
The woman picks up the phone just as she was about to push the first number to call the teacher again a girl shows up in the doorway with a slightly pink face.the woman puts down the phone and urges the girl in.
"Come on in Emma," she greets with a smile.
"Hi," she responds timidly.
"What took you so long?" The woman asks with a curious face.
"I-I kind of got lost. I haven't been to the office in a really long time, sorry," the girl quickly replies as her face takes on the color of a stop sign.
"It's alright. Well this is Andy, Andy this is Emma," the woman says with a quick smile.
"Hi," Emma says quietly.
"Hi," Andy responds barely audible.
"Well you two should get to class, other wise the teacher is going to freak out," the woman responds.
"Alright, do you need to go to your locker?" Emma asks.
"Yeah, I do," Andy replies.
