2211, April, 45th Captain's Log

We are nearing the Andromeda star system. Heading towards Codename: EARTH. EARTH's main star imploded nearly 200 years ago, killing all known life and draining the life out of all other gaseous celestial bodies in the system. Only Codename: MOON remains in orbit. It will take several days to reach EARTH on account of all other large celestial bodies breaking apart and creating a large asteroid zone. The Necron was deployed by King Lykol to investigate a primitive communications frequency that was intercepted by another Vanguardian ship. The frequency has been radiating from EARTH for an estimated 25 years. Its source is unknown. All emitting stations on EARTH were presumed to be destroyed during the implosion of the star. Communications officer Omaven is tracking the frequency to pinpoint its origin. Officer Omaven is also trying to decode the frequency in order to understand its purpose. The ship shall be put on blue alert for the remainder of the mission. Star system Andromeda is highly unstable.

2211, April, 47th Communications officer's Log

Analysis of the frequency that is being emitted by EARTH is complete. The frequency is being emitted by a small substation about 34ft under the ground. Scans of the area show that there is a 305ft tall structure on top of the emitter. I shall inform the Captain of this factor that changes how we shall remove the emitter. I have yet to decode the whole frequency. All I have been able to obtain is a small message about some sort of "Time Capsule". I will send this information to Chief Science Officer Helesys. He should know what this "Time Capsule" is. I shall also inform Chief Security Officer Iarfna in case the object poses any kind of threat to the ship.

2211, May, 1st Chief Science Officer Log

I have found no information regarding this "Time Capsule" that may exist on EARTH. All information about EARTH is on the implosion of the star. Little is known about the lives of the inhabitants. All we know is that the Codename: HUMANS were prone to violence, not just towards the other species for food purposes, but towards other members of HUMANS. I shall inform the Captain and suggest the importance of an away team for research purposes. His Majesty would like a full report on EARTH and its previous inhabitants.

2211, May, 2nd Chief Security Officer's Log

Due to the known violent nature of HUMAN three security officer's and myself shall occupy the away team on the planet's surface. I believe this is a necessary precaution. All steps must be taken to protect the flagship of his majesty's space fleet and her crew. The Captain has already approved my request.

2211, May, 5th Captain's Log

We have arrived at EARTH. The away team comprised of Officer Iarfna, Officer Omaven, Officer Helesys, First Officer Krimrush, three security ensigns, and myself shall transport down to the planet in 15 minuets. I have been given orders to bring the "Time Capsule'' back to Xanide for inception by the king. His Majesty requires a full report upon return from the away mission.

2211, May, 5th Chief Science Officer Log

We have returned from EARTH with what we believe is the "Time Capsule". Chief Engineer Apanonar has opened the capsule and we are examining the contents inside. Mainly there are photographs but one small handheld computer screen has caught our attention. It appears to function but it needs a power source. I have hooked the device to the computer's main screen. We should be able to view its contents.

Hello, is this thing on? Yes good ok. Hi, future I am Annette Holmes. Congratulations, you have found my iPhone. It is pretty cool right. I am sure it is kinda well ancient by the time you are watching this, but it is something new to you. My phone was put under the Statue Of Liberty in New York City on December 27th, 2010. I volunteered to make some videos to show you what it was like in the past. So here is the past. ( First log ended)

Well, this is my last video before I have to put myself in a time capsule. I wish I could show you the whole world before I have to say goodbye but I am too poor for that. I put some books with my phone. Perhaps you could learn a little about us. I put a Smithsonian History book, The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, all the Harry Potter books, and To Kill a Mockingbird. There are also some books on my phone you can thumb through. Well this is it. I am about to give up my phone and be put in cryogenic sleep and sent to space. I hope I make it to some unknown world. 2211, May, 11th Captain's Log

The visual logs have been sent to His Majesty. We are awaiting his orders concerning the possibility of surviving HUMANS. I believe we should locate their ship. They could be a danger to the empire. I will confer with my bridge crew on the matter.

Your orders are to find the vessel containing HUMANS. They shall be brought back to Xanide for analysis. All security precautions shall be taken. As you know HUMANS are known to have been highly volatile. They have been deemed a threat and shall remain a threat until proven otherwise. Stay safe Capitan. Long live the Empire.

2211, May, 47th First Officers Log

The ship containing HUMANS has been located. The ship has a breach in the hull and all life support systems are down. The technology is primitive. It will be of good use for study. We have transported HUMANS to the medical bay. We shall have a report on their condition within the hour.

2211, May, 47th Captain's Log

All specimens found on the HUMAN ship are dead . The female seen in the visual logs is among the deceased. The structure of their ship made it impossible for survival. The primitive materials stood no chance against the conditions of deep space. There was another log made by Annette. She seemed under distress. If only we had picked up the frequency sooner, then perhaps we would have made it in time to save the last of HUMANS. They are now being filed under EXTINCT. Annette was talking to someone in her log. She kept calling them Houston. In the log the last thing she said was Goodbye, Houston. Thanks for trying.
