Hoseok made his way down the stairs rubbing the sleep from his eyes. As he made his way towards the kitchen.
The smell of breakfast was seeping throughout the house, he had no idea how the smell hadn't woken Yoongi up. His husband was like a sniffer dog when it came to food. Especially Di-Seong's food.
"Good morning." He smiled as he sat down on the stool in the kitchen.
Di-Seong turned around her eyes brightening and a smile taking over her face. She had one of those smiles that just made you feel all warm and fuzzy.
"Good morning Sweetheart. Did you sleep well?" She asked as she wiped her hands on the dishcloth hung over the counter.
Hoseok smiled as he nodded.
"That's wonderful, would you like some breakfast sweetie? A good meal is always the best way to start your day" She smiled as she placed a bowl down in front of him seemingly not waiting for his answer.
Hoseok smiled looking down at the bowl the smell was amazing, his mouth watered. "Thank you, Auntie, you didn't have to make anything." Hoseok thanked as he bowed his head slightly in appreciation.
"Nonsense! I couldn't have my lovely son in law starve, what kind of host would I be."
"Plus, I know Yoongi won't be up for a while yet. So I was hoping we could have a chat. Catch up if you will, I haven't seen you in while."
Hoseok smiled nodding his head, taking a spoon to shovel the food into his mouth.
Di-Seong smiled back taking a seat opposite him. "How's work going sweetie?"
"It's going well, we've kind of been on a break recently. Jimin thought it would be a good idea to take some time off for a while."
"He's right sweetie you and Yoongi work too hard. You could use some time to yourselves once in a while." She smiled pouring herself a hot cup of coffee.
"How is Jiminie anyways, last time I saw him he looked a little down,"
Hoseok sighed placing his spoon down. "I'm not sure, he doesn't really talk about it much but I think it's starting to get to him that he's the only single one in our group."
"Mhmm, that's a difficult one. But I'm sure he'll find someone soon. He's such a sweet boy I'm sure of it. Anyone would be lucky to have him. "
Hoseok chuckled nodding his head. "Hopefully, I'd love to see him happy with someone."
Di-Seong smiled, the sound of the oven timer making her jump up from her seat. "What about your parents? Are they doing well?" She asked as she pulled the baking tray from the oven and onto the counter.
Hoseok sighed. "Honestly, I haven't spoken to them in almost a year. They're not the easiest people to get along with. I accepted that years ago." He shrugged looking back at Di-Seong who had a sad smile on her face.
"Don't worry Hoseok-ah, I'm sure they'll reach out eventually." She reassured taking the opportunity to bring him into a warm hug. Hoseok always thought her hugs were the epitome of motherly. The way she seemed to radiate love and care with just a simple hug and make all your troubles fade away.
As she straightened herself upright pulling away from the embrace she smiled handing him a cup of coffee and 2 of her freshly baked cookies.
"Now, go wake up sleeping beauty. You guys have a long trip back to Seoul." Hoseok nodded thanking her before disappearing upstairs.

"Quit pouting at me like that," Hoseok grimaced as he tried to avoid eye contact with Yoongi, his husband sitting right beside him. "I know what you're doing and it's not going to work." He stated.
"But Hobi..." Yoongi whined lightly shaking his husband's shoulder and jutting out his bottom lip further for dramatic effect, plus he knew Hoseok was a sucker who would cave at the slightest evidence of sad expression on his face.
"Marshmallow please don't do this right now." Hoseok seemingly pleaded, Yoongi's pout was chipping away at his defence faster than he anticipated. He hated how Yoongi could get him to crumble like this with just a cute pout and fluffy cheeks.
Hoseok sent a stern glare towards his pouty husband, Yoongi simply countering with one of his beautiful smiles. Hoseok's shoulders sunk as he caved, a defeated sigh leaving his lips.
"Ok fine! you win... you win. " Hoseok said behind his hands as he ran them down his face in defeat. Yoongi beamed next to him jumping on his spot in bed.
This was a regular occurrence now, Hoseok didn't even know why he bothered fighting it anymore. Yoongi always seemed to get his way and this time was no different. "I don't even get why you want Holly to sleep on the bed, you have a whole ass husband to cuddle with but you just want the dog," Hoseok said as he crossed his arms rolling his eyes for extra effect.
He and Yoongi had been home for 3 days now after visiting Di-Seong and Yoong's family in Daegu and Yoongi hadn't let Holly out his sight, he had clearly missed the fluff ball so much he'd taken to letting her sleep in the bed with them, something she wasn't normally allowed to do.
"Yes but she's all soft and squishy like a teddy bear, and you keep kicking me in your sleep." Yoongi countered smiling smugly as Holly curled up in between them leaning into Yoongi's side.
"You love that dog more than me." Hoseok pouted making Yoongi giggle.
"I can love more than one thing, I may love Holly a lot, but I love you unconditionally." Yoongi smiled cheesily as he leaned over rested his head on Hoseok's shoulder.
Hoseok chuckled shaking his head and leaning down to connect their lips both males smiling lovingly towards each other. "You're lucky you're cute." Hoseok grinned as they pulled away.
