The sun shines brightly in New Donk City. Birds are chirping, cars go by, and even the neighbors are awake. It's 9 am on a weekend, of course people would be awake. Especially, Riba. Riba usually always wakes up this early. He gently moves Mario off him as to not wake him up, stretches, then gets out of bed. Riba was the only one awake at the time, so he decided to go smoke for a bit.
About 10 minutes pass, and Riba heads back inside. Although, now he isn't the only one awake.
Alice: Morning, Riba.
Riba: Morning.
Alice: Where were you just now?
Riba: Outside smoking a little. Surprisingly it's pretty warm out.
Alice: Oh, okay. Hey, you want some breakfast?
Riba: Sure, will you be making something?
Alice: Nah, I'm going to the store.
Riba: Right.. How about, don't waste your money and let me make us something.
Alice: Okay.
Alice teleports away and Riba starts cooking. While Riba's cooking, Mario comes out of the bedroom.
Mario: (yawns) Morning, Riba..
Riba: Morning, love!
Riba goes up to Mario, picks him up and hugs him. Mario wraps his arms around Riba tightly.
Riba: I hope you don't fall asleep on me.
Mario: Why can't I..? You're cozy..
Riba: Because I'm almost done making your breakfast.
Mario:Oh. What're you making?
Riba: Pancakes, and grits.
Mario: Sounds good. (Yawns)
Riba: If you're still tired, I'll wrap your food up and take you back to bed.
Mario: Nope, I'll get off you now.
Mario jumps out Ribas' arms and heads to the kitchen.
