Hu Tao bounced up and down as the giant walked back inside the castle. She had been stuffed inside its pocket, unable to move or scream for help. She was trapped; no way in, no way out. She just had to wait and see what would happen.
"Was there anyone outside?" the really deep voice asked.
"Nope. Didn't see a thing," the giant who captured her replied.
"Good. Now, I will be right back. Please keep an eye on our tea, will you?"
"Sure thing, Sensei."
Heavy rumbling shook the castle as whoever had the deep voice left the room. Hu Tao felt her body grow tight again as the giant brought her out its pocket and set her down on a flat surface.
~
"Who are you? Why are you here?" The giant stared into Hu Tao's eyes and examined her.
"P-put me down!!! Lemme go!"
"Why should I? Humans can't go sneaking around our house, let alone our world. So how did you get here? Should I know about something?"
Hu Tao, although panicked and afraid, decided that her best bet would be to lie in her situation. "I-I dunno! I suddenly woke up here!"
"Oh really? Cause last I checked there was no way to get up to our house."
"You call this a house?! This thing's bigger than the queen's palace!"
"SHH!!" The giant put a finger over her mouth and set her down, rubbing its forehead. "Look, I'm not supposed to be helping you out. Ya gotta get outta here, girlie. Otherwise, Sensei's gonna wanna form some kinda contract with you that usually results in him taking something."
Hu Tao gasped. The word contract flashed in her mind. Now she realized where she was.
"My dream... this is the place in my dream... and your Sensei's gonna kidnap my friend!"
"Sensei isn't gonna kidnap anyone. Not unless you break a contract."
"Contract shmontract! Look, I'm looking for three special things; can you help me get em?" Hu Tao asked.
"Why should I? What've you done for me? For all I know, you could be a thief," the giant said.
"If I tell you my name, will you just listen to me?"
The giant paused, then sighed. "Fine. What's your name?"
"Hu Tao. Look, I'm looking for three real special things cause someone said they'd help me get the girl of my dreams. Do you know where to find these three things, yay or nay?"
"Don't know what you're talking about. But since you were so honest, I guess giving you my name won't hurt. I'm Tartaglia, but Sensei calls me Childe."
"Childe, is that a pet name or something?" Hu Tao giggled at this, but Childe rolled his eyes.
"Shut up! We don't use pet names like that! And don't go thinking we're best friends now. You either get outta here right now, or Sensei's gonna find you first."
"Nuh uh! What are thingies important to your Sensei? Just tell me that!"
"No way! I'm not just gonna say that to ya! Go find em for yourself!"
"Are you gonna tell your Sensei I'm here?" Hu Tao asked.
"Not unless ya steal something. Just get out, I don't have time to be dealing with you--"
"Childe, who on earth are you talking to?"
~
Childe grabbed Hu Tao and hid her behind a large vase. He acted like he was cleaning something, a bead of sweat dripping off his face.
