8. Results

[We entered her room and...]

Fox's pov

nothing. She wasn't awake.

Nurse: "Oh hey! You arrived a bit late. The patient just fell asleep."

"oh.."

Joy: "We'll come back soon." she smiled

how could she smile..? Damn I really thought I was gonna see my beloved actually awake and moving...She was in a horrible state too, she was hooked on a lot of machines.

Joy: "Let's go Fox" she patted my back

I didn't want to go. I left her the flowers I bring her daily tho. Then we left and went to eat something

"dammit..."

Joy: "I know... I wanted to see her too..."

"...I miss her, Joy...I just want to see her awake, so I can be sure she's okay... that she's not dead.."

Joy: "It'll be okay.. She's awake, we'll see her soon!"

"... okay.."

She smiled again and we ordered some food. Then we went back to the school

Chica: "Fox! You're back!"

Bon: "How'd it go?"

Joy: "She fell asleep before we got there so we went to eat something instead"

Bon: "Oh.."

Bon looked at me with sad eyes, as if he was worried for me. I just nodded.

The day went through like a normal day would, I just didn't have as much energy. The next day Joy called me to come to visit Meg with her after school. I agreed and we ended up going to school together that morning.

Joy: "Are you stressed out about the winning band..?"

"Not really, I'm more worried about Meg. But I do hope you win, I bet she'd be so happy to know she won"

Joy: "Yea, I agree"

eventually we arrived, chatted a bit before going to class and then we went to the stage for the elimination.

My band was standing on the left side of the stage and the Toys were on the right side. Then the guy who took care of all of this walked in

Town Trap: "Hello everybody! Good afternoon, it's wonderful seeing all of your faces! Welcome to the elimination of the band contest! Our last two bands are, the Animatronics, standing on the left side of the stage, and the Toys, standing on the right side of the stage!"

Freddy and Bonnie seemed to be the most anxious out of my band. Golden was sure we'd win and Chica was trying to be positive. I looked over at the toys and out of everyone Joy seemed like the one who cared less. She'd always give the excuse that they had fun, plus she was worried about Meg, I'm sure.

Joy's pov

I was the only one who didn't care about winning or not. Sure, I wanted Meg to be happy when she finds out she won if we did, but otherwise I don't really care. The rest have been more focused on the contest rather than their own friend. Bon still cared of course, but he wanted to make his dad proud by winning. Spring and Toddy have no excuse tho.

Fox seemed the one who cared less in the animatronics, too. I'm pretty sure he wants us to win for Meg. I hope she'll be fine soon, he's been getting more depressed each day.

Town Trap: "Well, no more waiting, the winners are..."

I clenched my fist and gulped, getting ready for the answer. Fox seemed to do the same.

Town Trap: "...The animatronics!"

..oh. It's okay, we had fun anyways! I looked over at the rest of my band and hugged them

"Great job guys, we'll do better next time!"

Bon: "You always say that.."

"I know, but I promise we'll have more time to practice when Meg is Fine-"

Toddy: "Ugh, Joy don't you get it? Meg is the reason! You left in the middle of our act just to go see her and you didn't even get to see her! Just give up on her already"

"I'm sorry, but I'll never give up on my best friend."

I walked out of there angry and waited for Fox

Fox's pov

The results were said and honestly, I was disappointed. I wanted them to win, Meg would have such a nice surprise...Freddy was congratulating everybody and Chica wanted to hug everybody too but I left before she could and went to meet up with Joy.

"Hey"

Joy: "Hey"

"Should we go see her now?"

Joy: "Yea"

I smiled. Honestly the walk felt pretty long and I was really distracted..what if she wasn't gonna be fine? What if she died while we came back..? No, I gotta stay positive. She'll be fine.

Joy's pov

We didn't have a ride so it would take us a long time to walk to the hospital. Fox seemed lost in his thought. I think I know what he's thinking about. Poor Fox. It was weird to see him so down. He was usually very energetic but he hasn't been acting like himself lately..every day he's been getting worse from worry. Hopefully they can both heal soon.

Eventually we got to the hospital, and there were good news, Meg was awake! We both went in, Fox was really excited to see her awake but..

Meg's pov

I looked at the door because I heard someone open it. Apparently someone was visiting me. I recognized Joy from my school-

Fox: "Hi shortcake!"

I looked at him confused and asked.

Fox's pov

I ran to Meg and smiled

"Hi shortcake!"

I was a bit taken aback by her answer, she looked at me confused tilting her head slightly and raising an eyebrow. Joy was confused about her reaction too but none of us was ready to hear what we were about to hear. My heart shattered at that question
