Breaking It To You

(Alicia's POV)
It had been a month since I'd seen Sean. I guess my lack of communication with him caused him to go back to Texas. But I wasn't complaining I was spending a lot of quality time with Tre. We weren't dating, but we weren't friends either. As for mama and I. We didn't get any better. We only talked when we absolutely had to.

Peanut and Rainy hit it off well, we were actually supposed to be double dating tonight at the Waffle House. I finished pinning up my hair, I threw on whatever. I was heading to Angelina's for my usual hours. Hopefully I wouldn't run into Terrence and Mia.

I made it inside clocking in hugging Sheeda and assembling in my station. Business was slow today, we barely had any customers about an hour before closing time, Sean came through the door. I was kind of alarmed because I wasn't expecting him to come back and I didn't know what to say.

"Sean?" His face was blank and his hands were in his pockets. "Alicia," He replied. I adjusted my bangs, swallowing hard. "How can I help you?" I asked breaking the awkward silence between us. 'Look, I've been thinking...why have you been so distant? Is it something I did?" Asked Sean scratching his head.

I shook my head no, walking down from my station so we were at least 5 feet away. "I've just been going through it Sean. To be honest, I don't know about us right now. I mean your a great-" 'Friend." He interjected abruptly. "You've been giving me this line since highschool Alicia. Tell me what's up, is there someone else you'd rather be with?" He continued, he was starting to turn red.

He wasn't lying, I just didn't want to hurt him so I sugar coated things as much as I could. "Ugh, it's not that it's just... I don't know how to put it Sean. But don't be mad at me okay?" He rolled his eyes, looking away. "Sean." I called grabbing his arm. He ignored me jerking away. "Sean listen to me." He looked down at me, pulling me in. "What Alicia? Why do you play so much when you know how I feel about you?" I didn't know how to reply so I just laid my head on his chest.

When I looked up at him again, he lowered his head covering my lips with his. "Oup Seany." I giggled pulling away. "Been waiting awhile for that." He stated laughing. "But, I gotta go, text me I'll be back in town next weekend." I nodded, watching him walk away. At this point, I didn't know how to feel.

(Tre's POV)

I had some time to kill before I had to pick up my baby for our date. I didn't know why Alicia didn't see us as dating, she mainly referring to a title I guess. She old-fashioned, she want a nigga to ask her out, but I planned on doing it tonight. I'd be lying if I said I'd never felt this way about a female, because I was nearly head over heels for Shawna.

But with Alicia, I felt something better. I seen her for her, someone who had something going for herself. She was beautiful without all the extra, inside and out. At times, I felt like I didn't deserve her, and still don't. I still sleep with Teyana, but despite that I'd go crazy if she slept with someone else no matter how selfish it sounded.

Also in a couple days I had to handle my business with G-Note. I had so much on my mind and I was glad to have Alicia as a distraction, I just wondered how she was going to take all of this.

I finished watching the game until it was time to roll out, I took my car and Peanut took his. I had an incoming call from Shawna. I'd been ignoring her for awhile now. But I slid answer. "Hello."
Shawna: Tre.
Me: What?
Shawna: I'm pregnant, Tre.
Me: Shawna gone with all-
Shawna: It ain't yours! I just thought I'd let you know.
Me: Haha well I don't care bitch, bye.

I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt when she said it wasn't mine. But I couldn't carry all that negativity on my back right now.

I pulled up to Alicia's, waiting for her to come out. When she did, I couldn't help but catch myself staring. "Boo! Looking ass." She joked, giving me a kiss. "Yea, yea, yea." I chuckled kissing her back.

I couldn't help but notice how quiet she was today. "What's wrong baby?" I asked as we cruised down the block. "Nothing." She replied. I smacked my lips, turning up the radio. When we made it, her friend and Peanut were already in the parking lot.

I dapped up Peanut, and we all headed inside. As we sat at the table, we got settled. I figured I'd break the ice now. "Alright everybody. G-Note is wanting me to tag along and take out the Grady's." I began. "Tre what?" Asked Alicia, crossing her arms. "Baby I know, but he gone kill me if I don't."

"Man bro, we can't do this. We ain't got the juice like that, and I can't go to jail again bro. I refuse." Stated Peanut. "Yea, my baby staying with me." Rainy added, kissing his cheek. I rolled my eyes. Ever since P found Rainy, he changed up. He was focused on her way more than anyone else.

I glanced back at Alicia. Her hands still across her chest. I leaned over to kiss her, but she gave me the hand and faced towards the window. As I was just about to speak, Teyana caught my eye.

"Hey what can I- Tre? Peanut?" She said nearly dropping her notepad. "Teyana." I was trying to act like I barely knew her, even though we'd had sex less than 3 days ago. "Mmm, don't act shy now." She laughed, but her expression told it all. "Uh, who's this?" Asked Alicia. "And what she mean don't be shy?"

I swallowed hard, sending Teyana a glare. "Oh excuse me ma, let me introduce myself I'm-" "Bitch, I don't need an introduction. All I know is you need to move around flirting with my boyfriend." Said Alicia cutting her off in midscentence. "Oh yeah? Haha cute. But I've done more than that hun. Isn't that right Tre?" Teyana fired back.

Everyone's eyes were on me, and I was looking to Peanut for back up but he wasn't helping. "You a bold hoe, I tell you. But boldness only gets you so far until you run into the right one and happen to get your ass tapped." Alicia threatened. My heart was racing at this moment.

"Oh, my. No need to be hostile ma. I'm just letting you know, sister to sister." Alicia's face flared up. And she got up from her seat charging towards Teyana.

(Alicia's POV)
I pulled at her hair, while she yanked at my clothes. Everything happened so quick and I could barely feel Tre's hands on me. Peanut tried pulling the lil hoe back but failed miserably. The security came out to break us up, but we held on to each other, sending blows left and right. Rainy jumped in, but was pulled back by Peanut.

When we finally were split apart. I stormed past Tre getting inside his car. I didn't know what was going on exactly but I had a feeling he'd been messing with that girl. I was humiliated and embarrassed. Tre ran to the car after me, but I wasn't in the mood.

"Alicia." He called as he slid in. I ignored him. I knew I shouldn't be mad because we weren't dating, and I'd had something going on with Sean. But I had serious feelings for Tre. "Alicia, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to find out like this." "Like what?" I scoffed.

"Tre, be honest. Your sleeping with her aren't you? And besides that you wait to tell me about you and G-Note. You do realize your going to die right? And then what am I supposed to do?" "Why you care?! Like you said we not dating." He yelled.

I turned away from him, because he wasn't lying. "Look at me." He demanded, turning me around. "Alicia, Ima fix this right now. Baby, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, looking into my eyes.

I thought for a second, and nodded. "Yes I'll be your girlfriend Tre." He smiled at me, kissing me nice and slow. "Now, this is gonna sound crazy but... I want you to run away with me." He said sternly. I tried to hold back my laughter. "I'm serious." I continued laughing.

"Baby I'm forreal. You and I, run away from G-Note." he said. I shrugged my shoulders. I didn't know what to say. "Please? I need you baby, come with me." He begged. I nodded my head, not knowing what I'd just stepped into.
