Lux Sweeney, rising in fame. Since her album release on December 3rd, 1986, the trouble-seeking lady has made quite a reputation for herself in the rock n roll world. Read below to learn the deeper facts about the woman soon to be known as a rock n roll star!
"How are you this evening, Ms. Sweeney?" I ask the vivacious lady sitting in front of me. Lux Sweeney has gained quite a reputation for herself, and showed her snarky attitude by smirking, "Would be better with a Jack & Coke, but just fine otherwise." Somewhere, her manager shook her head!
"Well, right, we'll get our team started on that. In the meantime, you should answer some questions your fans have sent in. The first one reads, 'What do you like to do in your free time?'" I said, preparing the many, many questions our readers sent into 'Kerrang!' for today's interview. I must say I was not surprised at the sheer quantity we received; Ms. Sweeney has quickly risen up the music charts with her newest debut album, 'Velveteen Rabbit'. As of writing this, Lux Sweeney's hit single, 'Full Moon Free Times', has hit number one on the Top 100 Charts.
"We're getting into the good ones right away, aren't we?" Lux giggled lightly, leaning back into the comfortable couch with relaxed ease. She licked her lips and continued, "Well, I like to do normal things. Like I dunno, I'm just a person! I like to read, and watch movies- I love old westerns, really- and tv. I like listening to music, writing music, playing music... partying with my friends. I do like a night out, but I also enjoy a night in!"
I enthused along with her, "Right, I like old westerns too," Lux gushed about our shared interest, and patted me on the thigh, only making me laugh as she once again proved her heinous reputation. I focused back on the next question, sent in by Adam from Texas, "Uh, next question.. Oh, this is a juicy one! 'Who is your celebrity crush'?"
"Oh, you sly dog!" Lux quipped, with a flick of her wrist. She thought for a moment before leaning into my ear, as if to whisper her biggest secret, "Mick Jagger!" Her humbleness is impressive. For someone shooting to fame so young, at only nineteen, you'd expect inflated egos! But no, Lux remains polite, and kind of respectful..? I can tell you that hardened nights of debauchery are not new to her!
"Really?" I couldn't help but ask, as Lux plopped back to her seat. I had taken her to be more of a Brad Pitt or a Rob Lowe girl! I was certainly a fan before, but was beginning to see just how challenging interviewing this girl could be, "Like, now Mick?"
Lux giggled, with a bit of a shrug, "60s and 70s Mick is more my speed, but Mick Jagger is Mick Jagger!" She plays with her hair, a fluffy brunette heap piled all over her head and spilling down her shoulders. She is famously known for her hair, and being around her means you are nearly intimated by the height-defying locks!
