'Poeee! Want some?' chirped Ranpo, dumping himself onto the couch close to Poe, arms full of snacks.
'S-sure, what do you recommend?'
'Huh,' Ranpo squints as the corner of his mouth turns up into a grin, 'didn't think you'd say yes...'
Poe blushes, a light haze of pink dusting his cheeks - uncomfortable, despite it being his fourth time at his friends house. Wringing his hands tightly, Poe looks at Ranpo, observing his eager investment in diving into his pile of edible treasure.
'I-' (Poe)
'Here! Try this!' (Ranpo)
Ranpo offers a small round candy, neatly packaged in a brown, red and gold wrapper. Poe takes it and turns it around in his hands, his slender fingers observing every crease and texture - much like one would behave in an unknown territory.
A sudden chirpy tune sings from Ranpo's flip phone, causing Poe to jump quite a distance off the couch. Chuckling to himself, Ranpo stands up to take the call, the corner of his mouth turned up in a smirk all the while.
'Just eat it already Poe! I won't be long, just gotta see what Kunikida wants'
With that, Ranpo skips off, leaving Poe alone with his thoughts and the lolly in his hands. (that he still hasn't eaten ._.)
