The Will of Fire

Prologue: The Nine Tails Disaster

"This world... This village... It's a pitch black hell!" I yell down at the third Hokage. He, with three ANBU's by his side, are the only things stopping me from leaving this hell. "Let me leave! I won't hesitate to kill you! Former Hokage or not!"
"Stop this Sierra. You can not leave the village, you'd be target number one for the other villages!" He shouts back up at me. I stand on the roof of a random family home. No ones home, I can sense that. I stare up at the moon. Was I really about to do this? Leave the village I once loved so much? I look back down to the Hokage. The moons light being the only thing stopping us from being in complete darkness.
"I have too. I'm sick of this hell! You treat me like a pest! If I'm so important to the village, to the land of fire, then why treat me like a monster? I am not this demon! I am not what's inside of me! I've done so much for you. Killed innocent people, tortured men for information, merely because they're apart of something you don't agree with! I've had enough!" I notice a few exchanged glances of agreement from the ANBU. The third Hokage changes his stance. He's preparing to attack. I withdraw a kunai, I don't stand a chance against the former Hokage, not yet anyway. Sweat drops from my forehead, this isn't going to end up well.
"Hm, so be it." I ready myself.
"You're no match." His voice appears behind me. I turn around sharply and launch three kunais in his direction, he easily dodges. I swallow, and begin to weave hand signs.
"Fire style - fire bal-" My jutsu was stopped by an enormous surge of chakra from behind me, sending me and the Hokage flying backwards. My body scrapes along the hard ground, and my back smashes into a wall. Debris flying at me from one point In the village. I groan, attempting to lift myself. By I'm taken aback by a horrific ear-piercing roar.
"No! Kushina!" Hiruzen shouts from beside me, he lies a few feet away, staring into the distance of the village in a state of shock. But that means...
I'm once again sent flying by another roar. The wall collapses from behind me, and I'm sent soaring into another house. I pick myself up from the now destroyed house I was sent into, and race outside.
"It's the nine tails!"
"Run!" Villagers scream from all around me. The great tailed beast stands a few miles before me, and I'm frozen in shock. It can sense me.
"This is my chance!" I run as fast as my feet will take me away from the beast. Debris, even people, being thrown in all directions with great bursts of chakra emanating from the beast. I dodge every one. There's no time to stop.

I reach the wall of the village. Looking over it, I see the full scale of the destruction. If this goes on the entire village will be flattened! But... I look back, one last time at the village, before turning, and running away.
"Forgive me... Itachi."
