The Hospital Visit

Jordan's POV

I was just getting ready to record some Hunger Games when I heard my phone start ringing. Looking at the screen, I saw Erin's picture appear. "I wonder what she's calling for." I told myself. When I answered, an unknown voice started talking.

"Hello?" The stranger said
"Who is this?" I asked him
"This is Dr.Lee. I'm here with Erin, who has recently gotten into a accident." He responded
"You were the first person she had on her contacts, so I figured that'd I'd call you because you two seem to talk often", he continued " Are you two related in anyway?" He asked me
"No, but I'll be there in a few minutes." I responded
"Ok, but she is in very poor condition."
"Got it." I said and hung up.

Gathering my keys, I exited my condo. When I got in my car, I turned on the engine and sped to the hospital Dr.Lee said, which was only a ten minute drive.

~ Ten Minutes Later ~

When I got there, I went up to the lady sitting behind the service desk and asked her if she knew where Erin (I don't know her last name sorry) is at.

"Room 572 on floor 12, sir." She said while taking a wristband out.

After she applied it and I thanked her, I immediately walked to the elevator and hit the button to go to the twelfth floor. When I got there, I saw that there was a small gift shop. I walked in to buy some flowers, balloons and a card. When I got to her room, she was talking to a nurse about how she felt. I waited patiently at the door until she left. After she did, I walked in.

"Hey Erin" I said to her as I walked in.
"Jordan, you came!" She said with a weak smile on her face.
"How couldn't I? This is very important." I told her.
"Are those for me?" She asked looking at the presents.
"Yup!" I said while handing her the flowers and card. I decided to tie the balloons to the chair.
"Oh thank you so much Jordan!" She said happily.
"You're welcome. Anyways, what happened to you?" I said to her.
"After we saw each other at the supermarket, I went to go put the groceries in my car. When I was finished, I went to go put the cart back, but when I did, some guy, who the police say was on his phone, accidentally hit me. Now I'm here, trying to recover." She said with a sad expression.
"That's terrible! Did the police arrest him?" I asked.
"I think so." She told me.
"What a jerk." I said with a scowl on my face.

For the rest of the day, we talked about stuff like the accident, YouTube, Boo, and hanging out. A nurse came in the room.

"Sir, visiting hour is over." She said looking at me.
"Oh, okay. Bye Erin. Get well soon!" I said.
"Bye Jordan! Thanks for coming by!" She told me.

After a long car drive home due to traffic, I realized I had not yet recorded anything yet.
"Oh well, I guess they'll have to wait." I thought to myself. She looked so beautiful, even though she was in bad shape, she looked like the most gorgeous person in the world. "She probably doesn't like you like that." I told myself sighing. I know she's an old friend and we haven't seen each other for a long time but still, I see her as more than a friend. I hope she feels the same about me.
