After a lot of begging and yelling and attempts at murder, Sasha and the others finally got me to go back out into town to meet Cameron. I don't get why we couldn't just meet him at the METF instead of at his apartment, but if I bring that up, Sasha will probably strangle me.
Sasha bangs on the door with her fist. "Elliot! Open this door right now or so help me--"
The door swings open, revealing a very irritated-looking brown haired boy who I'm guessing is Cameron.
"What do you want, Sasha?" He growls.
"Nice to see you, too." She replies, pushing past him into the apartment. He doesn't seem as polite as Austin made him out to be. I believe his exact words were "polite and shit." But I don't judge.
"Yeah, of course you can come in. Thanks for asking." He grumbles, ushering the rest of us in.
"Whatever you say, Elliot." She says, making herself comfortable on his couch. Austin takes the seat beside her while Jack and Chloe sit in one of the armchairs, Chloe on Jack's lap. I stand in the corner looking small and awkward.
Life.
"What'd you come by for?" Asks Cameron, leaning against the door. Sasha shrugs.
"I have no idea why they dragged me here. I'll guess I'll just be going now." She says, standing up. Austin grabs her arm and pulls her back down. She rolls her eyes and props her feet up on the coffee table.
"Cameron, Max." Says Austin simply, gesturing to me. Cameron looks at me. I offer a small wave, feeling extremely uncomfortable. Cameron nods politely before looking back to the others.
"We've met. Now can can you leave me alone to go back to sleep?" He asks. He glances at me. "No offense." He says.
"None taken." I mutter.
Sasha rolls her eyes. "Can you leave me alone--" She says in a mocking tone. Austin punches her in the arm before she can finish and she glares at him. He ignores her.
"Cameron, it's like 10 am already." Jack says. Cameron shrugs.
"I'm tired. Leave me alone." He says. Without another word, he trudges down a short hallway that I'm assuming leads to his bedroom. A second later I hear a door slam. Austin sighs and stands up.
"Okay then." He says. "Let's go."
The rest of them stand up and follow Austin out the door. Sasha pats me on the shoulder on her way out.
"Maybe one day." She says, shaking her head with mock sympathy. I slap her hand away and push her out the door. She chuckles and follows Austin the corridor. I fall into step beside Jack as he exits the apartment and lean into his ear.
"I thought he was polite." I mutter. Jack smiles.
"Just stay on his good side." Says Jack. "You'll be fine."
"Which side is that?"
Jack chuckles. "The one that's awake."
...
"Do we really have to do this?" I whine as Jack drags me down the corridor. "How do you even know where she lives, you stalker?"He just chuckles. "Exactly that. I'm a stalker."
"I swear I'll do anything." I beg. "I don't wanna talk to Lena!"
"She's never gonna acknowledge you, dude, if you don't try." He argues.
"Oh yeah, and how do you know?" I ask.
"Worked with Chloe, didn't it?" He points out. I sigh.
"Fine." I continue to let him drag me down the long hallway.
