It was the middle of the night. Janet had already fallen asleep, but I was staying awake. My mind was wandering from the days events. Slowly, I felt it. My hands started shaking, and my legs twitched. Maybe I was just tired. Slowly, my eyes closed. Must have just been my imagination.
"KAYA! WAKE UP!" Janet screamed at me. My eyes peeled open, and my body was twitching. My eyes' weren't the only ones wide with terror. "It happened." Janet whispered, hardly audible. Closing my eyes in fear, I looked down at my legs.
Well. Lack of legs.
"Jan, I-I don't know what to say... How do I get rid of it?"
"The instructions didn't say..."
"Have you felt anything?"
"Well, my hands are shaking any my legs feel weird, but I think that's just because I'm nervous." Janet ended the sentence with slight disappointment in her voice. Trying the cheer her up, I said "No! That happened to me last night! I couldn't get to sleep, so I stayed up for a little while. Then before I fell asleep, I felt the same thing you did!"
"Really?! This is great!"
