A month had passed since he heard the prophecy.
Josh is currently doing some alone training when Mordred arrived. His sister, Violet was watching her brother from a tower.
Mordred: Hey, Josh!
Josh: hmm? Oh hey.
Mordred: you don't sound very happy to see me. What's wrong?
Josh: I just have something on my mind, that's all.
As he was about to put his sword away, Mordred asked him for a quick sparring match. Seeing as she eager to have one, Josh agreed. They gotten into their battle stances, Josh and Mordred waited for their first move. Mordred made the first move and charged with a wooden sword in hand, Josh blocked her first strike and goes on to the offensive. Cannot keep up with his strikes, Mordred loses her wooden sword and tackles Josh to the ground making him loses his. After their sparring match, the two friends laid on their backs against the grass.
Mordred: I hope that we'll be friends forever, Josh.
Josh was quiet and didn't say anything. Noticing that he didn't reply, Mordred moves to her side.
Mordred: Josh?
Josh: yes?
Mordred: didn't you hear what I said?
Josh: I did. I was just having a think.
Later
Josh was spending some quality time with Artoria while they were watching the sunset. To their unknown, Mordred was visited by her mother, Morgan. She revealed to her that Arthur and Violet were her father and step mother. Excited about this, Mordred decided to see them and tell them. While Arthur was thrilled to hear the new, Violet wasn't.
Mordred: so what you're telling me: you don't want anything to do with me!? Is that it!?
Violet was about to leave, Arthur stopped her by asking the same question but calmly. She tried to be as calm as possible but she snapped.
Violet: I won't accept someone who is a child of the witch, Mordred! It's that simple.
Mordred: you've accepted a wizard, how is a child of a witch different!?
Violet looked at her angered and said that they were done talking about it. Arthur felt sorry for his kid. Mordred vowed vengeance against them.
Afterwards.
Josh heard what happened between the three and finds Mordred at the castle gates with some of the other knights along with her.
Josh: Mordred, wait!
Mordred: (not looking at him) what?
Josh: you're playing straight into Morgan's hands if you leave. Don't go!
Mordred: (angrily) and continue to live in Violet's shadow? Forget it.
Josh: if you leave, I won't forgive you!
She didn't say anything but leaves Camelot and leads her rebels to a fortress that she recently took. After watching his best friend leave, Josh decided to see his sister.
Josh: What the hell were you thinking, Violet!?
Violet: what are you talking about?
Josh: Mordred! That's what I'm talking about, sis.
Violet: oh. Josh, you have to understand. She's been Morgan's kid for sometime now, that's why I didn't want anything to do with her.
he felt a little distraught which caught her attention.
Violet: what's wrong?
Josh: I've heard of a prophecy saying that... (realises what he was about to say) that...
Violet: go on, Josh.
Josh: do you remember when dad fought against the hords of orcs to defend our home? The prophecy spoke of a worse battle to come.
he left his sister to do some thinking of what he wants to do next.
