Having avoided being caught in a trap, Artoria and Josh were on the way back to their siblings and Merlin. Josh stopped Artoria from going any further causing her to nearly trip over. He instantly recognises that hair style and colour.

Josh: I never thought that I would see her again...

Artoria: who? Mordred?

Josh: yes. Mordred. When did you met her?

Artoria: since she was a kid... you?

Josh: in the wilds near Minas Tirith. Roughly around two years before we met. I took her as an apprentice and she was one of the best of our rangers like myself.

Artoria: sounds like that we both had a history with her.

Josh: come on, we better get going.

On the way to Morgan's fortress, Josh was tracking Violet and the other two due to one of his masterful tracking skill. Artoria was impressed with his skills. Though she was trying to get his attention, Josh finally found those who are responsible for kidnapping his sister, he drew his bow back.

At the camp-site.
Violet was getting cold which caught Mordred's attention. She told the leader to slower the pace but he snapped at her about the pace going well. She didn't care.

Mordred: you have to slower the pace or I'll kill you myself.

?: I'd like to see you try.

Just then an arrow struck one of his men which made him to stand up with Violet's sword in hand. He gathered the rest of his men. Seeing as he was a master of the bow, Josh kills the kidnappers swiftly but when he had his bow in Mordred's direction. Josh made a critical decision of to spare her. Seeing as she did take good care of his sister, Josh hoped that his choice wasn't a fatal mistake.

Sometime later.
Arthur and Merlin had rescued the rest of his knights and friends. He made Mordred as a knight of the round table and made him into Josh's apprentice. The two became best of friends, he was called back home by the queen of Gondor. After he reached Minas Tirith, Sarasota asked him to go to Rohan. He left Minas Tirith to the capital of Rohan. Josh took Mordred with him but there were concerns about her. One night during their trip.

Josh: I want to ask you something important, Mordred.

Mordred: hmm? What's up?

Josh: are you Artoria's child, by any chance?

Mordred was surprised when he asked her. She was deciding whether or not to tell him and she did. Josh promised to keep it as a secret for the time being.
