EVERYONE IN GOTHAM CITY WAS SEEKING REDEMPTION Dick was working for bruce Wayne who rarely showed leaving Alfred with all of his responsibilities Alfred didn't seem to mind he enjoyed the boy's company However, dick was young and arrogant He didn't feel the need to take orders from Alfred even if he was right Dick didn't seem to care
It started as a rainy night in Gotham city as usual dick Was In the bat cave on the bat computer monitoring crime Alfred was asleep upstairs in his room Completely unaware that dick was in the bat cave Alfred would never allow that and dick knew that so he waited every night til Alfred slept to go fight crime this night was different though Dick felt that something was off when an alert appeared on the computer
It was an attempted kidnapping case dick however never dealt with something like this but he found himself thrilled to handle something different he immediately got suited up as Robin and took off through the window
He was doing over 80 mph on his motorcycle as rain flew by. He finally reached his destination he found himself at an abandoned warehouse For the first time, dick felt something since his parent's death, he felt fear. He slowly approached the door of the warehouse
He put his ear to the door to hear a little girl sobbing at that moment all of his adrenaline rushed in as kicked the door down and there laid a girl Her hair was covering her face her hands were on her knees as she looked down and sobbed unbothered by dicks dramatic entrance dick couldn't move he was frozen by the sight of the girl
Her cries were an unforgettable sound dick found himself slowly approaching the girl as he put his hands up the girl then looked up at him her eyes filled with tears dicks heart shattered while looking down on her he kneeled and placed a hand on the girl's shoulder as his voice barely broke out "are you okay" the girl, however, didn't respond she made one quick move and jumped in his arms and cried uncontrollably
Dick rubbed her back in an attempt to comfort her dick knew what he had to do he set the girl down as he looked directly into her eyes "you're going to be okay I promise" The girl didn't reply instead she gave a slight smile to the hero who smiled back and ran outside to place a call to Alfred dick knew he would be in trouble but that was a chance he was willing to take
His hands shook as he dialed Alfred Who immediately picked up "Dick Where are you?" Alfred said in a sleepy voice "Alfred I need your help" Dick said with his voice shaking as he was pacing up and down in the rain "Oh bloody hell are you outside again boy," Alfred said in an angry voice "Alfred please I'll send you my coordinates" dick replied as he quickly hung up
He quickly ran back into the warehouse to see the girl looking up at the stars through the hole in the roof she smiled while staring at them dick stood still and stared at her with a smile he knew this would be the start of something good the girl has noticed the hero staring at her she looked at him And grinned without saying a word
That moment was interrupted by Alfred running and the warehouse as he shouted "oh dear lord robin are you okay" Alfred spoke with his voice breaking as he pulled the hero in for a hug dick turned red "I'm fine Alfred" Dick said while pushing Alfred away from him "now who have we got here" Alfred said while kneeling in front of the girl "she hasn't given me her name" Dick replied while crossing his arms "What's your name sweetie," Alfred said while placing a hand on her shoulder
The girl looked up at dick with tears in her eyes dick saw the fear on her face "Tell me your name," dick said as he sat next to her the girl gave Alfred a look However, Alfred understood she didn't trust him "I'll give you two a minute" Alfred spoke while patting dicks back
Dick then turned to face the girl Who was already staring at him "I want to help you but I can't if you don't let me" The hero spoke while placing his hand on the girl's shoulder dicks eyes widened as the girl placed her hand on his "my name is daisy" the girl said while looking at the ground red in the face
Dick stood shocked at the sound of the girl's voice "okay daisy come with me" Dick said as he grabbed her hand to lead her to Alfred who was on the phone dick flinched at the sound of Alfred closing his flip phone "I've contacted someone who will help her" Alfred said while turning to face the hero
The girl went behind to hide from Alfred "who did you call" dick said while turning behind him to see the girl "Iris west she can help us" Dick shuttered at the sound of that name "so what exactly will she do with her" dick replied in a cocky tone while crossing his arms "she wants to take her in" Alfred said while turning away from the two teenagers dick rolled his eyes at Alfred
Dick turned to face the girl "you're going to be okay" dick said while looking into the girl's eyes "am I ever going to see you again" the girl replied with tears in her eyes before thinking dick grabbed her hands with both of his "You will I promise" dick replied to the girl with his voice breaking
Iris arrived and picked the girl up And dick never saw her again after that Alfred wouldn't allow it dick despised Alfred for it he never forgave Alfred for what he allowed dick knew he didn't have to listen to Alfred but maybe for the first time Alfred was right maybe it was for the best..
