"SHE IS IN HERE BUT SHE AINT TALKING MUCH" the commissioner spoke as he shook his head making the detective scrunch his face in confusion while passing daisy a quick glare "I'll see what I can do" dick replied while looking at his partner signaling her to follow him, "What he means is thanks Gordon" daisy said while giving him a pat on the back as she continued to follow her partner
The two opened the room to see a sad raven-haired girl twiddling her thumbs as she gazed over them"hello...Rachel?" daisy spoke as she shut the door behind them Rachel didn't reply it was obvious she was scared "my name is detective dick Grayson" dick said while giving Rachel a comforting smile "your him your the boy from the circus" the detective's Eyes widened "what kind of sick joke is this" daisy spoke while putting a hand on dicks shoulder
"Everyone was so happy that night especially you" Rachel replied to dick ignoring Daisy's question daisy sent dick a quick glare to see him tearing up She never saw him cry she knew he hated talking about his past after all she could read minds
Dick leaned back in his seat crossing his arms "what are you trying to prove" dick said to the girl in a cold tone Daisy noticed and scrunched her brow at him "you don't understand" The girl shouted while slamming her hands on the table
"Then make me understand" dick replied to the girl while leaning toward her "my mothers dead someone killed her and now I'm alone I have no one" The girl shouted while sobbing "Everything's going to be okay we're going to help you" daisy said while handing the girl a pen and paper "write down everything you can remember here" daisy spoke while giving the girl a soft smile
Rachel quickly grabbed daisys hand In an attempt to understand her concern the girls eyes widened she saw a house on fire followed by the sound of a little girl screaming daisy quickly pulled her hand away from the girl
"Come on Grayson" daisy spoke while dragging dick out of the room "What do you think" dick said to daisy while closing the door behind them "We'll she's definitely gifted" daisy replied while tilting her head "but at what cost" dick said while adjusting his tie in the mirror "I think she read my mind" daisy said while inspecting her nails "What?" Dick replied in a high tone followed by a laugh "what? I'm serious" daisy said while swinging her hands down
Making the detective snicker at her "What's funny?" daisy shouted at him "she couldn't possibly read your mind can't you read minds," dick said to daisy while burying his hands in his pockets, "exactly my concern" daisy said while walking away from him

"SHE ESCAPED" a voice called out from behind dick the detective spun around and ran toward the room to see her missing "how the fuck did she get out," dick said to Lucius while running a hand through his hair "I'm not exactly sure she couldn't teleport could she?" Lucius said in a serious tone dick didn't get the chance to reply as he saw daisy walking to the commissioner's office with files the detective quickly ran up to her and grabbed her arm turning her to face him "dick what the fuck" daisy whispered while pulling her arm from his tight grasp
Daisy wasn't interested in his attempt to be close to her she couldn't ever see herself forgiving him he was the first person she trusted all those years ago and he lied to her without an explanation
"She escaped..Rachels gone " dick said to daisy while grabbing his keys off the desk before walking away daisy quickly spun around to see him walking out "Where are you going" daisy shouted at the detective "to find her." Come on" Dick replied not even turning to face her as he continued his walk
Daisy quickly caught up to him holding the passenger door open on his Porsche "How convenient," daisy said while entering the vehicle dick shut her door as he made his way around to the driver's side he noticed daisys eyes following him as he made his way around "what's with the staring" dick said while entering the car
"Don't flatter yourself dick" daisy bluntly replied with a smirk across her face "let's get to it" dick smiled at her before placing his arm around her seat to pull out of the parking lot
after a few minutes of unsuccessful searching, dicks phone rang he quickly flipped his phone over to see an unrecognized number as he looked up at daisy "answer it" Daisy replied with a quick nod dick swiped to phone to answer the call "hello detectives " Lucius spoke through the speaker
Daisy sighed in relief while rolling her eyes "talk to me" dick replied to Lucius "I got a hit on the girl one of our officers were against us," Lucius said as he sighed through the phone "What do you mean" dick said as he scrunched his brow at daisy
"I don't know where's she's going but I got a trail on the vehicle she's in i'll send you the info" Lucius said before hanging up
"Fucking great" dick said as slammed his hands on the steering wheel "We'll find her" daisy replied while placing a hand on his shoulder
